It’s Time for MALIBU MAYHEM!
Paradise Watersports of Arizona and Fluid Concepts are teaming
up to bring you the second event of the AWA's 2005 Rider Series
May 21st at Tow Cow Cove, Lake Pleasant. At this event, no matter
how good, bad, or ugly you ride, Paradise Watersports says,
“You are a winner!” They will be providing every
competitor with a Malibu Mayhem T-shirt for the fifth straight
year!
PowerBoat Magazine's "Tow Boat of the Year" Malibu
Wakesetter VLX will be pulling this event. Each VLX is equipped
with 4 internal ballasts that add 1250 pounds of water weight
in addition to the wake enhancing wedge. The Malibu Wakesetter
VLX boats were completely redesigned for 2005 making them wider,
longer, and deeper for a first class wake.
Fluid Concepts and Paradise Watersports of Arizona will once
again crown the King of the Double Up. The most anticipated
bonus event of the year will have 10 outlaw or advanced riders
competing for cash money and the prestigious title of King of
the Double Up. Each rider will have ONE chance to stick their
sickest trick off the double up in an attempt to secure this
year's crown. Can’t handle the double up? No problem.
Paradise Watersports is also giving out the "Spicoli
Award" for the crash of the day. Remember the last time
you or your buddy executed a crash that had everyone talking?
Well, at Malibu Mayhem you will be awarded for such a stupendous
feat. *FYI - The AWA and its sponsors do not wish to see anybody
intentionally crash or harm themselves in any way. In fact,
we think it would be great if nobody fell all day, we simply
understand that pigs will fly first.
For those who love to become one with the lake and prepare
for the event by camping out Friday, we have a special treat
for you. The boys from Paradise Watersports will be working
the grill and serving up some burgers and dogs for all Friday
night AWA campers.
As usual, registration and practice begin at 7:00 am and end
at 9:00 am. Practice is held on a first come first serve basis
and we cannot guarantee all riders will be able to get a practice
run. If you must have a practice run, we strongly suggest you
arrive early.
Thank
you for applying! Your application has been submitted.
