HOUSTON - TX (June 20) - Some of the top local wakeboard boat and gear dealers are combining forces with Dodge Trucks to bring an exciting, first of its kind event to the Houston Summer Boat Show. It’s a LIVE wakeboarding rail jam  that will take place on Friday, June 23rd and Saturday, June 24th inside The Reliant Center.

The rail jam set-up will utilize over 30,000 gallons of water in two giant portable pools. A starting pool 50 foot long x 12 feet wide and a landing pool 50 feet long by 30 feet wide. The pools are separated by a 40 foot long slider apparatus and wall ride for the riders to hit.

Sliding or grinding on rails has been a part of wakeboarding for the past few years but until now it has all happened behind a boat on a lake. Now, with the use of portable pools and a high speed winch, instead of watching the riders from 100 yards away on the shore, spectators can be just a few feet from the action.

Its action sports up close and in your face!  The event will feature top regional pro riders and some home town rail-masters including Brian Sasser, Joey Bradley, Richie McKee, Duston Swafford, Tom Fooshee, Justin Keifer, Rich Woods and more.

The event is backed by Darryl Moore’s Marine, Houston Watersports Complex, Rinkers Boat World, M2 Sports, Dodge and the Houston Boat Show. The wakeboard rail jam demos are scheduled to take place at 4pm and again at 7pm on Friday and at 2pm, 4pm and 7pm on Saturday. Be sure and arrive early for best viewing spot!
