Wakesetter VLX

Now here’s a boat that leaves nothing to be desired. The Malibu Wakesetter VLX has everything a rider could ever want, from an open social area to its large and well shaped wake. “This boat is a professional riders dream,” said Amy Mauzy, Marketing Director for Malibu Boats. “ It comes standard with the MLS (Malibu Launch System) which adds 900 lbs of weight in a center locker sack and 2 solid tanks on either side of the engine in the back. This allows you to customize the weight distribution based upon the number of people or weight in the back.” It also comes with an Optical Illusion tower, a fine blending of form and function. Said Mauzy, “We wanted it to go along with the sleek look of the Malibu and allowing the driver to see a lot more and to concentrate more on the tow path for the rider. This tower also has a symmetrical relationship with the line of the windshield.” The Wedge is an option on the Wakesetter VLX.

Wakesetter 23 LSV

With a Wakesetter 23 LSV you’re ready for a full day of fun out on the water. Copious amounts of cabin space along with efficient and ingenious use of storage space allow for an uncrowded outing. The sharp Marketing Director Amy Mauzy summed it up well. “This is for the person who doesn’t want to go back to the dock. Take your family and friends, take all your gear, and not have to go back once because you have everything you need right in the boat. The best of all, no one has to be cramped because there’s plenty of room.” Our testers were pleasantly surprised at the excellent tracking characteristics from such a large vessel. The 50 gallon fuel tank holds enough fuel for a full day of riding and recreating out on the water.

21XTI

Would all the party people please stand up? The 21 XTI is the perfect machine for when you want to rock on the water. The Party Zone located across the stern provides all the booming sounds for those on board while out the back the rider will enjoy the wake all Malibu’s have become known for. The wrap around seating configuration is smart use of space, allowing for more people to sit and socialize during those few moments of downtime on the water. Said test pilot Tom Bugg: “This boat goes where you want it to go. Excellent tracking.” Added Shannon Starling,” Stay on the gas and it will hold perfect through the tightest of turns.

23 XTI

If bigger is better, then this is the boat of choice for the direct-drive enthusiast. It’s 23 foot length makes it one of the biggest in this class, and the engineers at Malibu put that space to good use. The unique cabin configuration creates several different social environments throughout the boat and the retractable pylon allows easy transfer from unobstructed socializing to its extended rope ready position. It has the social feel of a V Drive while retaining the high performance one expects from a direct drive boat. Our testers rated this the best handling boat of the 23’ field scoring perfect marks during double up radius testing.
