MID-SEASON WWA BOAT MANUFACTURER OF THE YEAR RESULTS
In an effort to reward manufacturers and their outstanding support of the WWA and its professional and grassroots events, the WWA will award an annual acknowledgement of the most outstanding boat manufacturer. This award will be given to the manufacturer who, over the 2006 season, pulls the most WWA events worldwide. This award is based on a point system and data collected by the WWA from January 1, 2006 through the WWA World Championships 2006. The points are simple and are as follows:
Any WWA Premiere Event
(This includes the WWA Worlds, the WWA World Series,The WWA Nationals) |
= 20 points |
Any WWA sanctioned event |
= 5 points |
Any WWA Sanctioned Clinic |
1 to 20 = 20 Points
21 to 50 = 30 Points
51 an up = 50 Points |
This is a look at the standings at mid-season and which manufacturer leads the race at this point. We also want everyone to have the opportunity to change the point standings. Here are the results as follows based on the events that have occurred between January 1, 2006 and June 9, 2006:
- SKIER’S CHOICE
- MALIBU
- CORRECT CRAFT
- MASTERCRAFT
- TIGE
- CENTURION
The points are close in the tops and remember the best way to earn points is to support a bus tour/clinic series, sanction a premiere WWA event, or support a grassroots series. So hurry up and get involved while there’s still time!
