IMMEDIATE RELEASE: THE WWA WORLDS GOES TO AUSTRALIA!
The
World Wakeboard Association’s World Championships are
quickly approaching, so start your planning your travel arrangements
now. For the first time in history, the WWA is hosting the World
Championships in Maroochydore, Queensland October 13-16th. Riders
in all divisions including men, women, boys, girls, and pros
will be pulled by Malibu Boats, the official towboat of the
WWA World Championships. Join us for an exciting event in the
Land Down Under and keep checking back for more details!
Divisions
of competition are broken down into age brackets with the exception
of the pro and open divisions. Age as of January 1st of 2005
will be used to determine age bracket. The WWA U.S. National
and World Championships will operate under the following divisions:
Jr. Boys ages 9 and under
Boys ages 10-13
Jr. Men ages 14-17
Men’s I ages 18-24
Men’s II ages 25-29
Masters ages 30-39
Veterans ages 40 and over
***There will be a Super Vets category as long as five people
register beforehand at WWA Nationals
Girls ages 13 and under
Jr. Women ages 14-18
Women ages 19 and over
Open any age
Pro any age
Wakeskate any age
* Riders can only compete in one division each discipline per
competition.
All U.S.
citizens must qualify for WWA Worlds through the WWA Air Nautique
Nationals held in Kenosha, Wisconsin August 24-28th.
