DESCRIPTION:The first Pass the Handle — Discover Water Sports Day took place on lakes world wide on July 26\, 2014. The Pass the Handle project is an incredible awareness-driven concept drawn up by legendary wakeboarders Shaun Murray and Zane Schwenk\, encompassing any towed-water-sport enthusiast to get out on the water and extend their passionate arm to people in need of an awesome activity. \nThe concept is simple: Find a buddy or buddies who don’t already take advantage of the amazing sports included under the towed-water-sports umbrella\, and get them on the water. Take them out\, teach them how to ride\, and introduce them to the same fun lifestyle of being on the water that we enjoy. Our goal is to truly engage those already involved to “share the stoke” and teach as many people as they can to ride. \nWe would like this initiative to focus on safe towed water sports\, and to eventually create a reward-based program to encourage those who are hyper enthused to help expand the sport by incentivizing them to teach more and more new riders. DESCRIPTION:This year\, 3 of the area’s largest wakeboat dealerships will be sponsoring wakeboard contest series right here in Charlotte!\n\n\nHighlighting the local scene and revamping the grass roots movement we hope to light the fire in the competitive wakeboarding in the Carolinas! We hope that you can join us for one or all of the events this summer either as a spectator or a competitor! It will be fun for all!\n\nWe hope to light the fire back in the mid Atlantic region for wakeboard culture. We want riders of all levels to come ride\, push their friends and grow the sport through fun competition!\nThree of the events will be at Windjammer and pulled behind different dealership sponsor boats at each location including Supra Boats\, Malibu Boats and Mastercraft. The last 2 events will be at the new SouthTown Wake Park behind the cable! The Fire in The Core event series is the first of its kind and you don’t want to miss out!
