Compete against other amateur riders for the chance to win a prize purse\, trophy\, and ultimate bragging rights. The competition is Wednesday\, August 4th\, from 8am-3pm. There will be 1 boat and 3 divisions (beginner\, intermediate\, and advanced). Each division will compete for 2 hours\, with 9 riders per division. Each rider will have 15 minutes to compete. We’ll have a pop up pro-shop on site for all your gear needs! \n\n\nCOMPETITION FORMAT\nEach surfer will get a total of two passes (one down\, one back) or six minutes for their competition run\, with the exception of the Novice division which will have seven minutes to complete their two-pass run. Judging begins when the surfer passes the start/stop buoy OR drops the rope. There is a three fall limit for each surfer. \nWe are a WWA Sanctioned event and will\, therefore\, be following the WWA Competition Format. Saturday is the Regional Championships to qualify riders from Nationals – with divisions for all ages and abilities\, you can come compete yourself in this fun first competition or claim a spot on the shoreline to watch the action! \nStep 1 – Register for the event! If you register for the Regional Championships contest\, your demo/practice on Friday is included in your entry fee\, there’s no need to purchase both. If you just want to get on the water for a demo to ride with the pros or get some instruction\, you should purchase the Freeride Friday option. \nStep 2 – Once you’ve registered for the event\, if you wish you may go ahead and schedule your demo session for Friday. If you do not reserve a time\, we will fill boats on a first come first serve basis. \n  \n \n \n \n \n \n  \nThe Regional Championships contest official riding order will be posted on site during the riders meeting at 7:45AM local time on Saturday\, April 23rd.
