ORLANDO, FL (February 19, 2021) – Nautique Boats and The World Wake Association (The WWA) are excited to announce the dates and locations for the 2021 Nautique Wakesurf Series. Pulled exclusively by Nautique’s industry-leading G-Series, the 2021 Nautique Wakesurf Series will be comprised of seven prestigious wakesurf events spanning across three continents. With innovative formats designed for all ages and skill-levels, the event series is geared towards those looking for a fun-filled, family-friendly atmosphere.

“I am so stoked for the 2021 Nautique Wakesurf Series to kick off,” commented Nautique athlete John Akerman. “Every year there are so many new surfers to meet that are excited to try competitive wake surfing! Nautique Boats and The WWA always spread the stoke by providing the best venues, judging legends, and best of all the most innovative wakesurf waves in the industry!”

The series will once again play host to the most diverse field of competitors in wakesurfing. Surfers spanning the globe will compete for points on the Nautique Wakesurf Series Rankings System. Surfers will earn points based on their placement within their division at each event they attend for the 2021 season. The winners at each stop of the series will automatically secure their invite to the crowning jewel event of the season: the Nautique Masters Wakesurf Championships, presented by YANMAR. Fans and surfers alike will be able to follow all of the action at thewwa.com/nautiquesurfseries.

Another first that only Nautique and The WWA can bring to our event participants is a day at the Surf Ranch this fall. Yes, you heard that correctly. The overall Pro Women and Pro Men winners of the Nautique Wakesurf Series will have the opportunity to spend a day shredding perfect waves created by Kelly Slater Wave Co. and the perfect waves behind the G23 at the Surf Ranch in Lemoore, California. In addition, the winners of all amateur divisions at each stop on the 2021 Nautique Wakesurf Series will be entered into a random drawing for two additional spots up for grabs at the Surf Ranch. Additional information on the Surf Ranch experience will be posted on thewwa.com website.

“The Nautique Wakesurf Series is back and looking stronger than ever for 2021,” said Nautique President Greg Meloon. “The best wakesurfers will be hosted at scenic locations across the world to get on the water and showcase their talents, as well as enjoy celebrating the sport they love with friends and family. I can’t wait to see how the sport progresses this year while on the biggest stage for wakesurfing and behind the best wakesurf boats on the water, as well as the fun the winners will have at the Surf Ranch this fall.”

The Nautique Wakesurf Series will provide the pinnacle of wakesurf competition, creating a global platform for athletes to come to define themselves as the sport’s elite with seven stops spanning across the globe.

(May 10, 2017) – The World Wake Association (WWA) is proud to announce the 2017 Asian Wake Series featuring three exciting stops heading to Taiwan, Japan, and Korea. As wakesports continue to experience rapid growth in Asia, the level of riding has reached an all-new caliber that demands a world-class competition platform.

The 2017 WWA Asian Wake Series has partnered with Malibu & Axis dealers throughout Asia to provide their world-class towboats at each event. The region’s top wakeboard and wakesurf athletes will be showcased at each stop competing to earn their spot on the WWA Asia rankings list and $58,000 USD in prize money. Overall Asian Wake Series champions will be crowned in each division at the WWA Asian Wake Championships.

“The WWA has been on the ground growing wake in Asia for over 28 years. We are excited for this opportunity to join together with all of the like-minded people we call friends to expand on the growth of wake throughout Asia,” said WWA President Shannon Starling. “The Asian Wake Series gives us the ability to put Asian riders up on a pedestal in their region in an effort to build champions, moving towards the world-stage of wake in the future.”
