WWA Rideline Docs

01. Getting started

The WWA application is available on all major platforms, so you can choose the option that works best for you.

Availability

You can access the application in the following ways:

Cross‑platform synchronization

All versions of the application (mobile and web) operate on a single shared database.
This means that your data is synchronized instantly across all platforms. Any changes you make on one device will be immediately available on others.

Updates

Starting from version 1.1.1, the application automatically notifies you when a new update is available.

We strongly recommend always using the latest version of the app to ensure access to the newest features, improvements, and fixes.

Note: The web version is always up to date and does not require manual updates.

02. Sign Up / Sign In

To access all features of the WWA application, you must have a user account.

Account authentication

At the moment, authentication is available via email and password.

  • To create a new account, go to the Sign Up section.
  • If you already have an account, use Sign In to log in.

Password recovery

If you forgot your password, use the Forgot password option to reset it.

After submitting a password reset request, you will receive an email with further instructions.

Important: If you do not see the password reset email, please check your Spam or Junk folder. In some cases, the message may be filtered there.

03. Account center

The Account Center is the central place where you can manage your profile, settings, and account‑related information.

Accessing the Account Center

To open your Account Center:

  1. Click on your avatar in the top‑right corner of the application.
  2. This will take you to your Profile Center.
  3. To access account settings, click the gear icon in the top corner of the screen.

Profile Center overview

In the Profile Center, you can view and manage the following sections:

  • Activity Feed — your recent actions and updates
  • Following / Followers — people and entities you follow, and those following you
  • Upcoming Events — events you are registered for
  • Personal Results — your individual performance and results
  • About — public information about your profile

Account Center features

Inside the Account Center, you can:

  • Edit your profile information
  • Manage your memberships
  • Add and manage sponsors
  • View your favorite events

Account settings

Within the Account Center settings, you can also:

  • Change your password
  • Delete your account
  • Manage other account‑related options

Transactions

The My Transactions section allows you to view and manage your transaction history related to the platform.

Privacy

The Privacy section provides a link to our Privacy Policy, where you can review how your data is handled.

04. Memberships

An active membership is required to register for events in the WWA application.
Without a valid membership, event registration is not available.

Membership requirement

Before registering for any event, you must purchase a membership.
Memberships must be active at the time of registration in order to proceed.

Available membership types

Currently, the following membership options are available:

  • Pro Membership
    Required for athletes competing in Pro divisions.

  • One‑Event Membership
    Valid for one specific event only.
    This membership is automatically applied after you register for an event.

  • Amateur Membership
    An annual membership for athletes competing in Amateur divisions.

How to purchase a membership

You can purchase a membership in three different ways.

1. From the mobile header

If you do not have an active membership, you will see a badge in the mobile header under the page title labeled “Get your WWA membership”.

  1. Tap the badge.
  2. A membership selection popup will appear.
  3. Choose the appropriate membership type.
  4. Select your division (e.g. Pro or Amateur).
  5. Proceed to payment.

2. From the Account Center

You can also purchase a membership from your account settings:

  1. Open the Account Center by clicking your avatar.
  2. Click the gear icon to access settings.
  3. Navigate to Memberships.
  4. The same membership selection popup will appear.
  5. Choose a membership and complete the payment.

3. During event registration

If you try to register for an event without an active membership, you will see a notification:

No active membership found for this athlete. Please purchase one to proceed with registration.

  1. Click Buy membership.
  2. The membership selection popup will open.
  3. Choose a membership and complete the payment.

After purchase

Once your membership payment is completed:

  • Event registration becomes unlocked
  • Your current membership status will be displayed as a badge in the mobile header

You are now ready to register for events.

05. App navigation

After successfully signing in, you will see the main navigation menu at the bottom of the app.
This menu allows you to quickly access all key sections of the platform.

Main navigation tabs

The bottom navigation bar includes the following sections:

  • Events
  • Users
  • Shop
  • Rankings

Events

The Events section displays all events currently available in the WWA application.

Upcoming events

At the top of the Events tab, you will see the first five upcoming events.

  • Events marked with an “Open” badge are currently open for registration.
  • If the Open badge is not visible, registration for that event is not available at the moment.

Event series

By scrolling down, events are grouped by event series, such as:

  • Nautique Series
  • Nautique Surf Series
  • World Series of Wakesurfing (WSWS)
  • Other official series

Grassroots events

At the bottom of the Events section, you will find Grassroots events.
These are events organized by WWA partners, and you can also register for them directly through the WWA app.

Discover & search

By tapping Discover or using the search field, you can:

  • View all upcoming events for the current year
  • Navigate between upcoming and past events

Users

The Users section allows you to discover athletes and organizations within the WWA ecosystem.

Here you can:

  • View upcoming events
  • Discover Top Athletes (2026)
  • Explore best athletes based on previous seasons and series, including:
    • Multiple series champions
    • WSWS 2025
    • Hall of Fame athletes
  • View current organizations that host events on the WWA platform

Athlete search and profiles

Using the search field in the Users tab, you can find any athlete registered in the WWA system.

  • You can follow athletes to receive updates about their activity
  • Tapping on an athlete opens their profile popup, where you can view:
    • Profile information
    • Results
    • Activity (similar to your own profile view)

Shop

The Shop section allows you to purchase official WWA merchandise.

  • Available products are displayed dynamically
  • New products will be added throughout the year as they become available for sale

Rankings

The Rankings section displays all current athlete rankings.

Here you can:

  • Switch between years using the selector at the top
  • Choose a division
  • View all athletes ranked within the selected division
  • Filter rankings by country

06. Live score

When an event starts, you can follow live scores for all divisions and rounds directly in the app.

Accessing Live Scores

To view live scoring:

  1. Open the event page.
  2. Navigate to the available tabs at the top of the event screen.

Divisions & Scoreboard

In the Divisions tab:

  • You will see a list of all divisions participating in the event.
  • Tap on a specific division to open the Scoreboard.

Inside the Scoreboard, you can:

  • View all active rounds in real time
  • Track scores as they are updated live

Additional tabs within a division include:

  • Athletes — a list of all athletes registered in the selected division
  • Results — final results, which become available after the event is finished

Schedule

The Schedule tab shows the event timeline and round structure.

  • You can navigate between rounds using the time‑based schedule
  • Schedules may be updated multiple times throughout the day

Important: Always check the Schedule tab for the most accurate and up‑to‑date start times for each division, as adjustments may occur during the event day.


Live Event Mode

Once an event is live, a “Live” indicator appears at the bottom of the event screen.

In Live Event mode, you can:

  • Follow the live scoring feed
  • View current results as they happen
  • Stay up to date with ongoing competition activity

07. Rankings

The Rankings section displays all current athlete rankings.

Here you can:

  • Switch between years using the selector at the top
  • Choose a division
  • View all athletes ranked within the selected division
  • Filter rankings by country

08. FAQ

This section contains answers to the most common questions.
The FAQ is updated regularly as new features and issues are identified.


I can’t register for an event. What should I do?

Please check the following before contacting support:

1. Make sure you are using the latest app version

Event registration requires the most recent version of the application.

2. Check your membership status

You cannot register for an event without an active membership.

  • Make sure your membership is valid and active
  • If no active membership is found, the app will prompt you to purchase one

Important:
Memberships purchased outside of the app (via separate or external links) are not automatically linked to your account.
Only memberships purchased directly through the app are automatically associated with your profile and enable event registration.


I see grey blocks, buttons don’t work, or something looks broken

If you encounter issues such as:

  • Grey or inactive blocks
  • Buttons not responding
  • Missing or incorrect data

This usually means there is an issue with missing or invalid data in your account (a null value).

Please contact support so we can resolve the issue quickly.
