Our information and best practices are coming from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO), and the Georgia Department of Public Health, as well as Harris County authorities.

As a result of this group effort and based upon information from these sources that are grounded in facts provided by official agencies, we have decided to take the necessary steps of postponing the 61st Masters Waterski & Wakeboard Tournament.

We are currently working with Callaway Gardens, in addition to the sanctioning Federations and Associations, to finalize a date later in the year to host the most prestigious water ski and wakeboard tournament in the world. 

For those who have already purchased tickets for the event, we will honor them for the new date. 

This moment in our history transcends sport. This is a time for all of us to come together and take care of each other. Your unwavering support has always meant the world to us, but never more so than now.

**Due to the postponing of the 61st Nautique Masters, the 3rd annual Nautique Masters Wakeboard LCQ held in Orlando, Florida will also be pushed back to a later date. This date will be announced once the new dates for the Nautique Masters have been set. 

The Nautique Masters Wakesurf Championships will be a premier invitational event, serving as the culminating stop of the Nautique Wakesurf Series. The world’s most elite amateur and professional wakesurf athletes will be invited to the Nautique Masters Wakesurf Championships through the 2019 Nautique Wakesurf Series Rankings and the Last Chance Qualifier event on Friday, September 27th at Callaway Gardens.

On top of all the action behind the world-class Super Air Nautique G23, the Nautique Masters Wakesurf Championships presented by GM Marine Engine Technology, will feature free practice sets, the highest amount of prize money seen on the Nautique Wakesurf Series this season, beach games, music, autograph signings and post competition nightly events.

The inaugural Nautique Masters Wakesurf Championships, presented by GM Engine Marine Technology, is set to take place September 27th – 29th at the esteemed Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain, GA. Hosted at one of wake’s most cherished sites, the Nautique Masters Wakesurf Championships will become the most prestigious wakesurf event of all-time, further evolving the competitive side of wakesurfing for generations to come. Known for a family-friendly atmosphere that everyone can enjoy, this Nautique event will be an unforgettable experience with daily beach games, two days of free practice sets, music, autograph sessions, and free nightly functions. 

The world’s most elite amateur and professional wakesurf athletes will be invited to the Nautique Masters Wakesurf Championships through the 2019 Nautique Wakesurf Series Rankings and the Last Chance Qualifier event to be held on Friday, September 27th at Callaway Gardens. 

The event will feature FREE practice sets on September 25th – 26th from 8am to 5pm at Callaway Gardens. The practice sets are open to all athletes competing at the Nautique Masters Wakesurf Championships and Last Chance Qualifier. Each athlete will have the opportunity to take one set.

Defending Masters Champion, Meagan Ethell (USA) put together a stand up run in the Pro Women’s Final, leaving the crowd cheering and taking the win with a 93.00. Her first pass consisted of a moby dick and a cab nose grab 540 before coming back on pass two with a clean roll to blind, leaving no doubt in anyone’s mind that her name would go down in Nautique Masters history. In second place, Dallas Friday (USA) scored 91.00 with a big wrapped KGB, followed by Erika Lang (USA) rounding out the podium in a very close third with 75.00 points.

Nautique athlete Cory Teunissen (AUS) had a great afternoon, proving that as a true champion he has everything it takes to bring it home. Utilizing the award-winning wakes of the Super Air Nautique G23, Teunissen threw a nose grab heel 900 and a mute double half cab roll in his first pass and went on to polish off his first place finish with a huge T/S 1080 in his second pass scoring 93.00. In second, Harley Clifford (AUS) pulled out all the stops, landing a double indy tantrum and a nose grab backmobe 540 to score 90.67. Nic Rapa (AUS) placed third with 88.00 points using his huge amplitude and throwing multiple double flips.

It’s super cool as it’s the first time I’ve been to this event representing as a Nautique Boats team athlete,” commented Nautique athlete Cory Teunissen. I’ve gone two for two on the WWA WBWS and Nautique Wake Series so far this season too. I’m absolutely stoked and totally blown away to leave Callaway Gardens on such a high note!”
