<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>PINE MOUNTAIN, GA (August 30, 2020)</strong>&nbsp;<strong>–</strong>&nbsp;The all-new Super Air Nautique G23 pulled the world’s greatest to victory in the final day of competition at the 2020 Nautique WWA Wakeboard World Championships presented by Yanmar. With multiple overall titles on the line to round out the Nautique Wake Series and WWA Wakeboard World Series (WBWS), today’s competition was filled with amazing moments including (add something from day).&nbsp;</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Reed Hansen brought the heat to Robin Lake displaying his technical skill behind the all-new Super Air Nautique G23 landing a switch 360, T/S indy shuv, and a switch T/S F/S 180 to take home the Pro Wakeskate World title with a score of 75.00. Coco Mendez took second, scoring 70.00 with a hard flip, followed by Brian Grubb rounding out the podium in third with a score of 40.00.&nbsp;</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Meagan Ethell showed up to the Pro Women’s finals ready to throw down one of her best performances behind the Super Air Nautique G23 in hopes of snagging a 2020 WWA World title. Earning what she came for, Ethell put it all together throwing a textbook KGB and Moby Dick for a final score of 85.00. In second, Mary Morgan Howell landed a huge crow mobe and a roll to blind to score 82.00. Dallas Friday placed third rounding out the podium with 70.00 points after another epic performance.&nbsp;</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Coming off heavy semifinals, Nic Rapa put down an amazing performance in the fight to the finish of the Pro Men’s final, taking the win with a nearly flawless run, scoring 95.00. Leaving no doubt in anyone’s mind that he had just won the 2020 WWA World title, Nic threw down a mute mobe 5 and a double cab roll for the win. In second Cory Teunissen scored 85.00 throwing down an equally impressive run complete with a switch T/S F/S 1080. Rounding out the podium in third, Tyler Higham threw a double tantrum for a score of 75.00.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>PINE MOUNTAIN, GA (August 29, 2020)</strong>&nbsp;<strong>–&nbsp;</strong>Setting up to be another day of perfect conditions, the top amateurs arrived at Robin Lake for day two of competition at the 2020 Nautique WWA Wakeboard World Championships presented by YANMAR. Known to be the catalyst of progression and always pulling the best riding in the world, the all-new Super Air Nautique G23 pulled heated final rounds with athletes in every division vying for a chance at the 2020 World titles.&nbsp;</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The Jr. Boy’s Beginner division produced an all-time show at Callaway Gardens, with Sander Abony coming away with the WWA Wakeboard World title throwing a H/S tail grab and a melan grab for a final score of 90.00. Kyle Bendele came up in second with 81.67 points displaying another run of high amplitude ahead of Rider Mayo in third with 70.00 points.&nbsp;In the Boys Beginner final, Jayden Bennett took the top spot throwing a massive backside 180 for a final score of 95.00, ahead of Ike Phillips in second with 85.00 points and Noah Barber in third with a score of 70.00 to round out the podium.&nbsp;</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Payton Gross rode away with the win in the Girls final with multiple inverts for a score of 85.00, just ahead of Kira Lewis in second with 76.67 and Kitt Smith in third with 70.00 points.&nbsp;The Jr. Women saw an intense battle behind the Super Air Nautique G23, with Elle Christensen charging the wake with a clean backroll to take the win with a score of 85.00. Christensen was followed by Ellie Patrick in second with a score 75.00, and Jordan Wolfe in third with 65.00 points. Adaptive athlete, Aaron Cutler made his way to Callaway Gardens to officially cap off the season with an unforgettable weekend of the world’s best wake action. Utilizing the wake of the Super Air Nautique G23, Cutler threw switch wrapped H/S 540 and H/S backside 180 for a winning score of 85.00 locking in his WWA World title.&nbsp;</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The Boy’s division saw Xavier Olea Vorhauer take his very first WWA World title after two stand-up passes with a Moby Dick and a wrapped KGB scoring 90.00. Hudson Gentry put the pressure on Vorhauer, coming in second with a score of 80.00 after landing a tantrum to blind, followed by Cameron Flinkingshelt in third with 70.00. The Jr. Pro division wrapped up a day of standout performances across every division with Jamie Huser putting down a Whirly 5 and a T/S 720 taking WWA World title with a score of 94.67. Taking the podium in second, Noah Wildman threw a massive indie T/S backside 360 in his run while also sticking the best recovery of the weekend for a score of 89.33, ahead of Thomas Herman finishing in third scoring 78.33.&nbsp;</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>PINE MOUNTAIN, GA (August 28, 2020)</strong>&nbsp;– A field of amateur riders took to the legendary waters of Callaway Gardens for day one of the 2020 Nautique WWA Wakeboard World Championships presented by YANMAR.&nbsp;Today’s semifinal rounds set the bar high, with the world-class Super Air Nautique G23 providing perfect wakes for the world’s best amateur wakeboard athletes.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">“I was extremely excited to witness the all-new G23 take to the waters of Robin Lake for the first time today at the Nautique WWA Wakeboard Worlds,” said Nautique President Greg Meloon. “This is set up to be an unbelievable weekend packed with action from the best riders in the world behind the best boat. Good luck to all of the athletes and I hope everyone enjoys a fun-filled time here at Callaway Gardens.”&nbsp;</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The Jr. Men’s Wakeboard division saw the boys put on their best The Jr. Men’s Wakeboard division saw the boys put on their best performances of the season with Graham Hebert coming out on top with a tantrum and a H/S 360 for a semifinal heat one winning score of 68.33. Crew Christensen utilized the entire wake of the Super Air Nautique G23 in heat two with a huge nose grab H/S 540 for a first place score of 70.00. Barrett Swope put down a stylish run to take the win in heat three with 85.00 points, followed by heat four winner Pablo Monroy with a score 73.33 and advancing to finals. Dayle Cartwright took the top spot in the Veteran’s semifinal putting down a blazing run for a score of 86.67. The Men’s 1 division saw Nicholas Brown take the win in the semifinal round throwing a crowmobe for a final score of 90.67, ahead of Henry Arvanites in second with 80.00. </p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Parker Swope laid down a Moby Dick and super stylish indie roll to blind behind the Super Air Nautique G23 in the Jr. Pro division, earning a score of 76.67 in semifinal heat one. The talented Thomas Herman threw a huge dum dum taking the win in heat two with 76.67. &nbsp;Taking the win in heat three Noah Wildman scored 80.00 points, followed by Jamie Huser who took the win heat four with 70.00 points and advancing to the finals.&nbsp;&nbsp;In the Jr. Women’s semifinal, Elle Christensen took the top spot with a scarecrow for a final score of 76.67, ahead of Ellie Patrick in second who threw down an equally impressive run for a score of 70.00.&nbsp;</p>

Jayden Bennett took the semifinal win throwing a H/S roastbeef and a T/S 180 for a score of 76.67. Jayden was followed by Ike Phillips in second with 66.67, and Noah Baber in third with 61.67. The Girls division wrapped up a stellar first day on Robin Lake with Kira Lewis taking the top spot and showing total composition throughout her run with a semifinal heat winning score of 88.33, just ahead of Kitt Smith in second with 80.00 points.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong><u>COVID-19 SOCIAL DISTANCING GUIDELINES &#8211; MUST READ</u></strong>The WWA is implementing social distancing guidelines effective immediately at all WWA sanctioned events in an effort to minimize the spread of COVID-19 in our communities. &nbsp;Events are only possible if we all maintain the federal, CDC, state and local guidelines. We appreciate everyone doing their part so events are able to operate and do not get shut down.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Attention:</strong> In accordance with the guidelines set forth, we will be taking temperatures for all event participants upon arrival before a rider is able to check-in each day. If anyone has a temperature reading greater than <strong>100.4* F</strong> they will not be able to remain on the event site. We encourage all participants to take their temperature before arriving at the event.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Overview</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The WWA will adhere to and operate in compliance with all public health authorities and local and state government guidelines regarding social distancing pertinent to the location of the event being held. In adhering to compliant efforts onsite, event crowd numbers will not exceed the guidelines currently set forth. The WWA will provide masks to all event participants and advise that any event bystanders are wearing masks when electing to be in the vicinity of the event grounds and will be strictly advised to not congregate in large groups.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">High risk individuals, including older adults and people with pre-existing medical conditions that appear to be more vulnerable to becoming severely ill with the virus are recommended to avoid&nbsp;events involving groups at this time and/or to take all recommended precautions to protect themselves.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Event Procedures</p>



<ul class="wp-block-list"><li>All WWA event staff will be required wear face masks throughout the duration of the event.</li><li>All participants will have their temperature taken at rider check-in each day that they ride.&nbsp;</li><li>The starting dock will be limited to ONE participant and the dock starter in order to avoid unnecessary congregations of people. There will also be ‘staging’ areas outside of the dock that only a limited number of riders will be allowed in. Riders 9 &amp; under may have one parent with a face covering accompany them on a dock.&nbsp;Participants should be aware of signage stating the number of individuals allowed in areas.</li><li>The WWA Pavilion on site will be limited to Athletes only. Credentials will be required to enter and masks will be required at all times while on the pavilion. Masks must be worn properly covering the entire nose and mouth.</li><li>Participants will not be able to store their equipment in the start dock area and are advised to keep equipement with them or in their locked vehicle&nbsp;at all times.</li><li>Only event staff will be allowed in the event boats.</li><li>All WWA staff and event security will monitor and enforce social distancing policies throughout the duration of the event.</li><li>All event surfaces and high-touch areas will be wiped down and disinfected approximately every thirty minutes as recommended by CDC guidelines.</li><li>Line distancing will be implemented in the registration and information area of the event in order to prevent grouping of participants.</li><li>In order to avoid extended face-to-face interaction between event participants and staff, participants must&nbsp;complete all necessary event and registration paperwork prior to arriving to the event site and attempting to check-in at the registration area.&nbsp;</li></ul>



<ul class="wp-block-list"><li>All event participants are&nbsp;advised to avoid person-to-person contact such as shaking hands.&nbsp;</li><li>All event participants will be advised to not congregate in large groups of people to socialize while at the event site.&nbsp;</li><li>All event related banquets will not be held in order to reduce gathering.&nbsp;</li></ul>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Event Site</p>



<ul class="wp-block-list"><li>The event site layout will be planned out and constructed with social distancing standards in place.</li><li>Proper cleaning supplies will be available to all event participants, staff, and officials. Cleaning supplies are not limited to and may include hand-washing stations, hand sanitizer, tissues, and cleaning wipes.&nbsp;</li><li>Event whip flags and additional competition markers will be spaced out every twelve feet to provide visual distance cues for event participants.</li><li>All staff tents will have clear walls and barriers in order to prevent unnecessary contact.</li><li>Spectators and participants will not be allowed to congregate under WWA tents. Participants are encouraged to bring their own tents or umbrellas for shade.&nbsp;</li><li>There will be limited options for food and beverage available on site. Participants may bring coolers but there will be no alcoholic beverages allowed on site.</li></ul>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The world&#8217;s best amateur and professional riders will convene in the tropical oasis of the&nbsp;<strong>Mayan Water Complex</strong>&nbsp;for a weekend of non-stop action to officially wrap the 2019 season and celebrate the WWA&#8217;s 30 Years of Wake. Hosted at the&nbsp;<strong>Mayan Water Comple</strong>x in&nbsp;<strong>Playa del Carmen, Mexico</strong>&nbsp;the&nbsp;<strong>Nautique WWA Wakeboard World Championships</strong>&nbsp;will join the&nbsp;<strong>WWA Wake Park World Championships presented by Nautique</strong>&nbsp;for the biggest global event in wake history on&nbsp;<strong>October 17th – 20th.&nbsp;</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>RIDER CHECK-IN INFORMATION</strong><br>Rider check-in will take place at the host hotel (Iberostar Paraiso Lindo) in the Lindo Lobby Bar on Wednesday, October 16th starting at 4:00 p.m. Check-in is only available to registered hotel guests.&nbsp;</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">All riders not staying at the host hotel may check-in at the Wake Park (boat riders included) starting at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 17th.&nbsp;</p>

The 2-hour Judges Seminar will feature WWA officials explaining everything from how judging works and what the judges are looking for in competitive wake sports. You&#8217;ll receive a full judge&#8217;s manual, covering everything from formats, both wake park (cable) and wakeboard (boat), to seeding and judging sheets.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Riders will learn how to set up the best competition run for them and adjustments they can make if a fall occurs. This is a great opportunity to enlist parents and other volunteers to shadow judge the event while encouraging riders, parents <g class="gr_ gr_7 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_disable_anim_appear Punctuation only-ins replaceWithoutSep" id="7" data-gr-id="7">and</g> volunteers to assist at other events in their area. The ultimate goal is to give people a level of comfort with the sport to become more involved in their own wake community.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Miyoshi City, Japan (September 1, 2018) – </strong>Wakeboarding’s top professional athletes came to the water on Saturday along with some of the Miyoshi Water Kids making their event debut in the remaining Amateur semifinal rounds at the 2018 Nautique WWA Wakeboard World Championships presented by Rockstar Energy. Lake Ikeda provided great conditions, paired with perfect temperatures as the world’s best riders amazed the crowd during every heat. The world-class Super Air Nautique G23 transformed its wake to perfection for each division, giving riders the ability to perform at the top of their game.</p>
<p>The Girls division got things going with semifinal heat one showcasing four of the Miyoshi Water Kids making their contest debut. Miina Motohasahi (JPN) took heat one with a stylish and composed run for a score of 70.00. Finishing in second and advancing on to Sunday’s final round Hinano Kishida (JPN) scored 63.33. Kira Lewis (USA) showed just how much she progressed this summer with a stand-up run landing a method for a heat winning score of 91.67 in the Girls semifinal round heat two. Joining Lewis in the final round, Nanami Miki (JPN) took second for a 51.67 point score.</p>
<p>Taking the top spot in heat one of the Pro Wakeskate semifinals, Reed Hansen (USA) scored 91.67 linking a line of 360s. Placing second, Brian Grubb (USA) stuck a big T/S shuv with an indy grab for 78.33. Andy Kolb (GER) came in third, keeping it super clean moving into Sunday&#8217;s final with a score of 53.33, followed by Tony Iacconi (AUS) in fourth with 40.33 points.<br />

<p>Ramon Fuentes (MEX) won the Men’s 1 title with two stand up passes in a run that earned him a score of 86.00 landing a T/S 720. The ever-talented Dicky Mario (IDN) placed second with a score of 71.00 and Sebastian Kitzing (CHL) rounded out the podium in third scoring 57.67.</p>
<p>“Wakeboarding is all about having fun with your friends. No matter where you are or how you rode, it all comes down to those around you,” said Men’s 1 World Champion Ramon Fuentes. “The WWA events take you all over the world, where you can enjoy visiting and experiencing new cultures and hopefully competing well. For me it’s a bonus if you happen to win something, so for me this trip is a really big win.”</p>
<p>The Jr. Pro Men were on fire behind the industry-leading Super Air Nautique G23 and Saturday&#8217;s semifinal rounds gave the crowd some of the best performances seen thus far. Ulf Ditsch (ARG) stomped a melan KGB and H/S B/S 720 for the win in heat one to score 76.67, followed by Bryce Grey (AUS) who will advance on with 70.00. Heat two went to You Hamazaki (JPN) who showed his signature style with a T/S 900 scoring 56.67, followed by Haruki Komatsu (JPN) in second with 48.67. Luca Kidd (GBR) took down heat three to score 81.33 landing a B/S 360 with a late melan grab and a nose grab crowmobe 540, followed by Kai Ditsch (ARG) in second with 77.67.</p>
<p>The Pro Women’s semifinal saw many remarkable performances on Lake Ikeda, setting the bar for Sunday’s final round. Jamie Lopina (USA) came away with heat one throwing a clean crowmobe for a final score of 76.67. Nautique team and Rockstar athlete Zahra Kell (AUS) followed up in second with a cab 540 for 61.00.  Heat two was owned by Nicola Butler (ZAF) throwing a massive roll to blind for 82.33. Bec Gange (AUS) advances to the final round in second with 71.00 points. Nautique team athlete Meagan Ethell (USA) had a stand-up run throwing a wrapped H/S F/S 360 for a score of 83.67, followed by Taylor McCullough (USA) in second with 57.67.</p>

<p>The Pro Men&#8217;s quarterfinal heats stacked up to their unstoppable reputations, sending the crowds cheers echoing across the river. Riders had to give it their all, in order to make the cut with the top four in each heat advancing on to the semifinal round. In heat one, Nic Rapa (AUS) scored 91.67 throwing a T/S indy double back roll and an indy H/S B/S 720. Taking the top spot in heat two, we saw Nautique athlete Tony Iacconi (AUS) with switch H/S 900 and a double half cab roll to score 93.33. Cory Teunissen (AUS) won heat three with 93.33, with a mute mobe and a cab 900, hoping to take this year’s World title. In heat four, Guenther Oka (USA) won the heat with a wrapped H/S B/S 720 to score 88.33.</p>
<p>“Miyoshi City is an amazing place, I’ve actually never ridden such a beautiful river before,” said Nautique team and Rockstar Energy athlete Tony Iacconi. “The scenery is astonishing and that wake behind the Nautique G23 is incredible, making the riding that much better. We are sure to see some incredible riding take place in tomorrow’s finals, and hopefully I land all my tricks and then come away with the 2018 WWA World title!”</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Miyoshi City, Tokushima, Japan (August 31, 2018) – </strong>Day two of the 2018 Nautique WWA Wakeboard World Championships presented by Rockstar Energy proved that the progressive riding we’ve been seeing this season is a worldwide theme. The 5X Wakeboard and 4X Wakesurf Boat of the Year, the Super Air Nautique G23, has been the catalyst of progression, proving to give riders the extra edge to perform their best. A season of preparation and dreams becoming a reality all came down to today as riders earned World Champion titles in ten amateur divisions.</p>
<p>The Boys division kicked off the day with Igor Colombo (ITA) putting down a crowmobe and whirly 540 taking the World title with a score of 85.00. Taking the podium in second, Reit Shikaki (JPN) threw a massive H/S 720 in his run behind the award-winning Super Air Nautique G23 for a score of 77.00. Jamie Huser (SUI) finished third landing a melon tantrum to blind to score 74.00.</p>
<p>“I’m really happy to have won my division and am so pumped to have landed my whirly 540,”  said 2018 Boys World Champion Igor Colombo “Having my family out here in Japan makes the trip that much better, it’s so fun getting to see them from the water during my heat.”</p>

<p>The Mens 1 division made their event debut today with some incredible riding from heat winner Ramon Fuentes (MEX) throwing an indy glide for a 73.33. Dicky Mario (IDN) took second, scoring 50.00 with a tantrum, followed by Aviriano Irshadi (IDN) in third with 38.33. Sebastian Kitzing, advancing to the finals with a final score of 26.67.</p>
<p>The Veteran’s division saw Dayle Cartwright (USA) taking his second World title after two stand-up passes with a tantrum to blind scoring 91.00. Hideki Yamauchi (JPN) put the pressure on, coming in second with a score of 51.67 after landing a batwing. Rounding out the podium in third, Mitsunobu Gouda (JPN) scored 40.67 with big H/S F/S 360.</p>

<p>Haydon Bru (AUS) took the Jr. Men’s World title with a huge KGB for a score of 90.00. In second, Lachlan Swift (AUS) landed a dum dum scoring 84.33. Lachlan Ward (AUS) capped off the podium in third with 60.00 points with a switch scarecrow.</p>
<p>The Masters Semifinal heat one was lit on fire, with Jorge Garizurieta (MEX) charging the wake with a clean T/S indy backroll to take the winning score of 70.00, followed by Yann Calvez (FRA) in second with 56.33. Scotty Broome (GBR) took heat two, earning a score of 73.33 sticking his stalefish backroll for the win. Susumu Suzuki (JPN) took second, scoring 61.33 with a H/S B/S 360.</p>
<p>A third World title was had in the Jr. Women’s division by Mackenzie McCarthy (AUS) after a big H/S 540 and T/S roll to revert to score 81.67. In second, Natsumi Yamamoto (JPN) landed a tantrum and front roll in her run for a score of 68.33, followed by Elle Christensen (USA) in third with 41.67 points.</p>
<p>Masters Women’s rider Aki Tomoko (JPN) had a great final run, throwing a wrapped T/S B/S 180 to top the podium in first place with a winning score of 56.67. Ani Sisul (PAR) finished second with a stylish backroll to score 43.33, followed by Cristina Zadronzy (BRA) with a score of 33.33.</p>
<p>The Junior Boy’s title went to Cooper Armstrong (AUS) who crushed two stand up passes with a raley and multiple inverts a to score 81.67. Coming in second with 71.67, Cody Marshall (AUS) linked together back to back inverts and spins, followed by Rantaro Unae (JPN) in third with 48.33.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Miyoshi City, Japan (August 30, 2018)</strong>– A massive field of amateur riders from around the world took to the water behind the legendary Super Air Nautique G23 today to kick off the 2018 Nautique WWA Wakeboard World Championships presented by Rockstar Energy. Amateur and professional wake athletes representing over 30 countries will compete throughout the week in hopes of capturing a 2018 World title. The 2018 Nautique WWA Wakeboard World Championships is the sixth stop of the WWA Wakeboard World Series and fourth and final stop of the Nautique Wake Series.</p>
<p>“It’s exciting to be in Japan watching all of the incredible riders that are vying for World titles behind the G23,” said Nautique President Greg Meloon. “Winning the Wakeboard World Championship title is the ultimate prize for riders from around the globe, and we’d like to wish all the best to the pros and amateurs that are here to compete for this coveted prize.”</p>
<p>Today’s semifinal rounds set the bar high, with amazing riding from each competitor as the world-class Super Air Nautique G23 provided perfect wakes for the world’s best amateur wake athletes. Starting off the day with the Amateur Men’s Wakeskate division Andre Matos (POR) came away with the heat with a heat-winning score of 26.67 showing his style and experience, with multiple inside out tricks. Dayle Cartwright (USA) came in close second, with back to back surface 360s in his run for a score of 21.67.</p>
<p>The Jr. Women’s division saw the girls put on their best performances of the season. Mackenzie McCarthy (AUS) landed a switch scarecrow, putting her on top with a heat winning score of 63.33 in heat one. Elle Christensen (USA) scored 50.00 in second boosting a H/S backroll heading into tomorrow’s final. Natsumi Yamamoto (JPN) threw down a big tantrum for the third place score of 31.00, followed by Haruna Yuki (JPN) in fourth with 20.00 point score.<br />

Lachlan Ward (AUS) brought some stiff competition throwing a tantrum to fakie finishing second with 73.33 and advancing to Friday’s Finals. The talented Lachlan Swift (AUS) threw a stylish nose grab H/S 540 taking heat two with 70.00, followed by Francisco Morlet (MEX) in second with 36.67.</p>

<p>“I was super stoked to ride today! I had a good stand up pass and felt like I rode well for me,” commented Boys Semifinal heat one winner Jamie Huser (SUI). “In Switzerland it is much cooler and the water is so cold, so the warm weather here in Japan feels really nice.”</p>
