<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Playa del Carmen, Mexico (October 20, 2019) –&nbsp;</strong>The top professional wakeboard and wake park athletes came to the water on Saturday along with remaining Amateur semifinal and final rounds at the 2019 Nautique WWA Wakeboard&nbsp;&nbsp;and Wake Park World Championships presented by Rockstar Energy. Mayan Water Complex provided the greatest conditions imaginable, paired with the tropical backdrop as the world’s best riders amazed the crowd during every heat. The world-class Super Air Nautique G23 provided riders the ability to perform at the top of their game in every division. After the day’s competition riders and families made their way back to the Iberostar Paraiso Lindo where they were greeted with an authentic Mayan dancers performance before stepping back in time during the 30 Years of Wake Anniversary celebration, honoring the two individuals who spurred the movement for organized wakeboarding back in 1989. The global achievements of this year’s athletes were then celebrated during the Amateur Awards banquet, awarding several first time World titles.&nbsp;</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Blind athlete Scott Leason (USA) got things going on the boat lake first thing in the morning on Saturday in the Adaptive Standing division. Giving it everything he had, Leason came away with his first WWA Wakeboard World title throwing T/S and H/S 180s for a final score of 82.33.&nbsp;</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Over on the cable in the Traditional final, Loic Deschaux (FRA) dropped hammers in every part of the course earning his 90.60 score with his S mobe 540 off the flats and a T/S B/S 180 to B/S lip slide pretzel out for the World title. Liam Brearley (CDN) made it a close match throwing a huge T/S B/S 900 off the kicker for a score of 83.90, followed by Joe Battleday (GBR) rounding out the podium with 82.50.&nbsp;&nbsp;Defending Champ Julia Rick (GER) took the win with her consistent, dominating performances in the Pro Women&#8217;s Traditional final earning herself her seventh WWA World title. Rick threw down a T/S B/S 270 transfer F/S 270 and a massive front to blind in the flats for a perfect final score of 100.00 solidifying herself as the best female wakeboarder in the world. Lisa Baloo (Rus) claimed second place excelling on all the rails with a final score of 83.00, followed by Sanne Meijer (NED) in third with 81.40.&nbsp;</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The Jr. Pro riders brought the heat to the cable of the Mayan Water Complex with a fiery final round for the Traditional park riders. Mikayo Mundy (AUS) came away with the World title throwing a massive front mobe to the flats and a pete rose off the kicker earning the winning score of 89.30.&nbsp;&nbsp;Stefan Hahn (AUT) put down a variety of technical rail hits for landing in second with 88.80, followed by Parker Swope (USA) in third with 87.70.&nbsp;</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The Jr. Pro Men were on fire behind the industry-leading Super Air Nautique G23 and Saturday&#8217;s&nbsp;semifinal rounds gave the crowd some of the best performances seen thus far. Joey Gallagher (USA) threw down a tail grab KGB for the heat on win and a score of 53.33, followed by Haydon Bru (AUS) in second with 49.33.Fynn Bullock-Womble stomped a H/S B/S 720 for the win in heat two to score 86.00, followed by Thomas Herman (USA) who will advance on with 81.33. Heat three went to Jamie Huser (SUI) who showed his signature style with a switch T/S F/S 720 scoring 82.67, followed by Tyler Worrall (USA) in second with 76.67. Noah Wildman (USA) took down heat four to score 86.67 landing a double back roll for a score of 86.67, followed by Jake Hill (USA) in second with 70.67.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">In the Pro Men Features semifinal, Liam Brearley(CDN) claimed his spot in Sunday’s final with a 270 in to shifty rewind on the rooftop rail and a H/S B/S 900 off the kicker for a 94.10 in heat one.&nbsp;&nbsp;James Windsor cleaned up in heat two throwing both T/S and H/S B/S 900s off the kicker for a score of 91.30. Joe Battleday (GBR) clinched the final spot out of heat three with a T/S B/S 180 to 270 lip slide to 270 out for heat winning score of 97.20. Claiming the final spot in Sunday’s final round was Guenther Oka (USA) in heat four utilizing his diverse skill set to lay down a big ollie up to T/S B/S 180 to cab 360 out on the last feature of the section for a textbook 100.00 point score.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The Pro Women’s semifinal saw many remarkable performances in Mexico, setting the bar for Sunday’s final round. Erika Lang (USA) came away with heat one win boosting off the wake of the Super Air Nautique G23 throwing a H/S front flip with a nose grab for a final score of 86.00, ahead of Sanne Meijer (NED) in second with 79.67. Heat two was owned by Tarah Mikacich (USA) throwing a wrapped KGB for 74.67, alongside Jamie Lopina (USA) advancing to the final round in second with 71.00 points. Nautique team athlete Zahra Kell (AUS) came away with the top spot in heat three with a super clean dum dum for the winning score of 85.33, ahead of Emi Kihara (JPN) in second with 48.67. Meagan Ethell (USA) put down a dominating run throwing a moby dick for a score of 87.67, followed by Otoha Kawahara (JPN) in second with 57.00.&nbsp;</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Aaron Cutler (USA) claimed his second consecutive Adaptive Standing world title with wrapped mute F/S 360 off the kicker for a perfect 100.00 point score. The Swedish Wake Team cleaned up in the Jr. Women finals with Clara Dandenell (SWE) coming out on top throwing a stalefish tantrum for a 90.00 total score. Eira Jansson (SWE) showed full composure throughout her entire run earning a second place finish with 88.00 points, just ahead of Melanie Staf (SWE) in third with 83.80 points.&nbsp;</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Daniel Grant (THA) killed it in the Pro Wakeskate division, closing out his inventive run with super technical flat water tricks and switch and regular B/S 360s off the kickers for 90.00 points. Maurizio Marassi (ITA) hit an impressive kick flip to F/S big spin for a second place finish of 80.00, followed by Victor Salmon (BEL) in third with a 70.00 point score.&nbsp;</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The Pro Men&#8217;s semifinal heats stacked up to their unstoppable reputations, sending the crowds cheers echoing throughout the Mayan Water Complex. In heat one, Nautique athlete Tony Iacconi (AUS) scored 86.67 throwing a H/S B/S 720 for the heat win, followed by Tyler Higham (USA) in second with 82.33. Taking the top spot in heat two, we saw Shota Tezuka (JPN) take the win with a massive method and a double half cab roll to score 85.00, ahead of Nic Rapa (AUS) in second with 79.33. Roswell athlete Cory Teunissen (AUS) won heat three with a 91.67, putting down a mute mobe 540, followed by Massi Piffaretti (ITA) in second with 76.67. In heat four, Cobe France (AUS) secured his spot in the finals with a wrapped nose grab 3 to 1 to score 87.67, ahead of Harley Clifford (AUS) in second with 84.00.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The Jr. Men’s division wrapped a full day of the world’s best riding on the pristine turquoise waters known to the Mayan Water Complex. Igor Colombo (ITA) brought home the win in the Jr. Men’s division throwing down a crow mobe and a whirly behind the Super Air Nautique G23 for a final score of 83.00.&nbsp;&nbsp;Pablo Monroy (MEX) followed up in second with 72.00, followed by Jimmy Schmidt (USA) in third with 69.00.&nbsp;</p>

The cable was spinning and the sun was shining as weeks of preparation gave way to the competitive spirit of the world’s best athletes all coming together for the largest global event wake has ever seen.&nbsp;Today’s quarterfinal and semifinal rounds set the bar high, with the world-class Super Air Nautique G23 providing perfect wakes for the world’s best amateur wakeboard athletes.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The Pro Wakeskate Division got things going on the cable in the morning’s semifinal round with Daniel Grant (THA) taking the heat win displaying an inventive run for a final score of 80.00 ahead of Maurizio Marassi (ITA) in second and advancing to the finals with 70.00.&nbsp;&nbsp;In semifinal heat two Victor Salmon (BEL) took the win with a front board B/S shuv it out for a winning score of 90.00, followed by Nautique athlete Noah Flegel (USA) in second with 70.00.&nbsp;</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The Jr. Women’s Wakeboard division saw the girls put on their best performances of the season in the tropical oasis that is the Mayan Water Complex. Hollie Waldrop (USA) utilized the entire wake of the Super Air Nautique G23 in the semifinal round with multiple wrapped tricks and inverts for a first place score of 73.33. Elle Christensen (USA) scored 69.33 in second putting down a blazing run, ahead of Haylee Bowman (AUS) in third with 64.33 and advancing to the finals. The Masters Women’s division saw Jenny Linn (USA) take the win in the semifinal round throwing a wake to wake indy for a final score of 60.00, ahead of Fernanda Asiain (MEX) in second with 46.67 and Kimberly Wysocki (USA) in third with 36.67.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The Pro Men’s Traditional saw the athletes put down some inventive runs to utilize everything the Mayan Water Complex cable has to offer.&nbsp;&nbsp;Loic Deschaux (FRA) dominated the Pro Men’s Traditional semifinal heat one showing total composition on all of the features and sealing the deal with a S mobe 540 for a score of 96.00, followed by Liam Brearley (CDN) with a 90.50. Riccardo De Tollis (ITA) took the win in heat two with his rail riding setting him a part from the other contenders for a score of 91.10, followed by James Windsor (AUS) with a score of 87.30. Dominik Guehrs (GER) came out of heat three with the top spot throwing a massive tail grab KGB for a winning score of 91.60, ahead of Joe Battleday (GBR) also advancing to the finals with an 88.80 score.&nbsp;</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Cameron Spalding (CDN) laid down an indy tantrum to blind behind the Super Air Nautique G23 in the Boys division, earning a score of 75.00 in semifinal heat one. Noah Bollard (AUS) finished second with 71.67 and advancing to Friday’s final round. The talented Alex Albin (USA) threw a stylish H/S F/S 720 taking the win in heat two with 84.67, followed by Xavier Olea Vorhauer (USA) in second with 36.67.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The Pro Women Traditional opened up with their progressive level of riding showcasing just how far they have been pushing the sport this season. In semifinal heat one, Lisa Baloo (RUS) rode away in first throwing a stylish indy tantrum to blind finishing with a 96.50 score, ahead of Sanne Meijer (NED) in second with an 86.80. Julia Rick (GER) walked away with a flawless 100.00 point score in heat two, walking away with the heat in throwing her signature big air tricks and impressive rail hits. Angelika Schriber (AUS) followed up in second and advancing to the finals with an 87.90 score.&nbsp;</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">In the Jr. Men&#8217;s Traditional semifinal heat one, Hugo Randow (SWE) took the top spot with a KGB 540 for a final score of 100.00. Carl Killholm (SWE) threw down to finish in the second with 90.00 and advancing to the finals. Hunter Smith (CDN) came away with the win in heat two with a T/S B/S 540 with an indy grab, followed by Jesse Jarrett (CDN) in second with 86.10.&nbsp;</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The Boys Beginner division closed out the day charging behind the industry-leading Super Air Nautique G23. Brayden Williams (USA) took <g class="gr_ gr_6 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_disable_anim_appear Grammar only-ins replaceWithoutSep" id="6" data-gr-id="6">win</g> in the semifinal round throwing <g class="gr_ gr_5 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_disable_anim_appear Grammar only-del replaceWithoutSep" id="5" data-gr-id="5">a multiple</g> 180s and stylish grabs for a score of 67.00. Williams was followed by Gavin Doody (USA) in second with 61.00, Ashton Davis (USA) in third with 57.76, and Caden Owens (USA) in fourth and advancing to the finals with 43.33.</p>

The Nautique Wakeboard and Wake Park World Championships presented by Rockstar Energy will head to the beautiful tropical oasis of the Mayan Water Complex in Playa del Carmen, Mexico October 17th– 20th. <br><br>Serving as the culminating stop to the Nautique Wake Series, WWA Wakeboard World Series, and WWA Wake Park World Series, an international field of riders from across the globe will compete for the 2019 World titles in all amateur and pro divisions of boat and cable disciplines. The Nautique WWA Wakeboard World Championships will be towed exclusively behind the 6x Boat of the Year, the Super Air Nautique G23, setting the perfect stage for athletes to deliver epic performances on the gorgeous turquoise waters known to the Mayan Water Complex. The Mayan Water Complex has proven to be a premier wake destination, with a world-class park fully-equipped to host the world’s top riders.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">In addition to recognizing the global achievements of the amateur and professional athletes this season, the event will host a special anniversary celebration of the WWA’s 30 Years of Wake on Saturday, October 19th at the Iberostar Paraiso Lindo hotel. The evening will recognize select forerunners and industry staples who were influential to the organization’s first five years of inception as part of the prelude to the amateur awards banquet. Families should be aware that anyone who is not competing in the competition or staying at the hotel will have to pay a fee to attend the evening activities and Saturday banquet.<br><br>This global phenomenon of the WWA World Championship weekend will officially begin on Thursday, October 17th with amateur division semifinal rounds in both boat and cable disciplines. The event will entertain a full schedule of jaw-dropping performances on the water paired with <g class="gr_ gr_9 gr-alert gr_spell gr_inline_cards gr_disable_anim_appear ContextualSpelling ins-del multiReplace" id="9" data-gr-id="9">post competition</g> nightly events including traditional Mayan dances and celebrations at the host hotel, the Iberostar Linda Paraiso. The 2019 WWA World Championships will conclude on Sunday, October 20th crowning the 2019 Wakeboard and Wake Park World Champions.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Miyoshi City, Tokushima, Japan (August 31, 2018) – </strong>Day two of the 2018 Nautique WWA Wakeboard World Championships presented by Rockstar Energy proved that the progressive riding we’ve been seeing this season is a worldwide theme. The 5X Wakeboard and 4X Wakesurf Boat of the Year, the Super Air Nautique G23, has been the catalyst of progression, proving to give riders the extra edge to perform their best. A season of preparation and dreams becoming a reality all came down to today as riders earned World Champion titles in ten amateur divisions.</p>
<p>The Boys division kicked off the day with Igor Colombo (ITA) putting down a crowmobe and whirly 540 taking the World title with a score of 85.00. Taking the podium in second, Reit Shikaki (JPN) threw a massive H/S 720 in his run behind the award-winning Super Air Nautique G23 for a score of 77.00. Jamie Huser (SUI) finished third landing a melon tantrum to blind to score 74.00.</p>
<p>“I’m really happy to have won my division and am so pumped to have landed my whirly 540,”  said 2018 Boys World Champion Igor Colombo “Having my family out here in Japan makes the trip that much better, it’s so fun getting to see them from the water during my heat.”</p>

<p>The Mens 1 division made their event debut today with some incredible riding from heat winner Ramon Fuentes (MEX) throwing an indy glide for a 73.33. Dicky Mario (IDN) took second, scoring 50.00 with a tantrum, followed by Aviriano Irshadi (IDN) in third with 38.33. Sebastian Kitzing, advancing to the finals with a final score of 26.67.</p>
<p>The Veteran’s division saw Dayle Cartwright (USA) taking his second World title after two stand-up passes with a tantrum to blind scoring 91.00. Hideki Yamauchi (JPN) put the pressure on, coming in second with a score of 51.67 after landing a batwing. Rounding out the podium in third, Mitsunobu Gouda (JPN) scored 40.67 with big H/S F/S 360.</p>

<p>Haydon Bru (AUS) took the Jr. Men’s World title with a huge KGB for a score of 90.00. In second, Lachlan Swift (AUS) landed a dum dum scoring 84.33. Lachlan Ward (AUS) capped off the podium in third with 60.00 points with a switch scarecrow.</p>
<p>The Masters Semifinal heat one was lit on fire, with Jorge Garizurieta (MEX) charging the wake with a clean T/S indy backroll to take the winning score of 70.00, followed by Yann Calvez (FRA) in second with 56.33. Scotty Broome (GBR) took heat two, earning a score of 73.33 sticking his stalefish backroll for the win. Susumu Suzuki (JPN) took second, scoring 61.33 with a H/S B/S 360.</p>
<p>A third World title was had in the Jr. Women’s division by Mackenzie McCarthy (AUS) after a big H/S 540 and T/S roll to revert to score 81.67. In second, Natsumi Yamamoto (JPN) landed a tantrum and front roll in her run for a score of 68.33, followed by Elle Christensen (USA) in third with 41.67 points.</p>
<p>Masters Women’s rider Aki Tomoko (JPN) had a great final run, throwing a wrapped T/S B/S 180 to top the podium in first place with a winning score of 56.67. Ani Sisul (PAR) finished second with a stylish backroll to score 43.33, followed by Cristina Zadronzy (BRA) with a score of 33.33.</p>
<p>The Junior Boy’s title went to Cooper Armstrong (AUS) who crushed two stand up passes with a raley and multiple inverts a to score 81.67. Coming in second with 71.67, Cody Marshall (AUS) linked together back to back inverts and spins, followed by Rantaro Unae (JPN) in third with 48.33.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Miyoshi City, Japan (August 30, 2018)</strong>– A massive field of amateur riders from around the world took to the water behind the legendary Super Air Nautique G23 today to kick off the 2018 Nautique WWA Wakeboard World Championships presented by Rockstar Energy. Amateur and professional wake athletes representing over 30 countries will compete throughout the week in hopes of capturing a 2018 World title. The 2018 Nautique WWA Wakeboard World Championships is the sixth stop of the WWA Wakeboard World Series and fourth and final stop of the Nautique Wake Series.</p>
<p>“It’s exciting to be in Japan watching all of the incredible riders that are vying for World titles behind the G23,” said Nautique President Greg Meloon. “Winning the Wakeboard World Championship title is the ultimate prize for riders from around the globe, and we’d like to wish all the best to the pros and amateurs that are here to compete for this coveted prize.”</p>
<p>Today’s semifinal rounds set the bar high, with amazing riding from each competitor as the world-class Super Air Nautique G23 provided perfect wakes for the world’s best amateur wake athletes. Starting off the day with the Amateur Men’s Wakeskate division Andre Matos (POR) came away with the heat with a heat-winning score of 26.67 showing his style and experience, with multiple inside out tricks. Dayle Cartwright (USA) came in close second, with back to back surface 360s in his run for a score of 21.67.</p>

The Masters Women division followed suite with Aki Tomoko (JPN) landing a stalefish to take the top score with 28.33 points. Joy Manning (USA) took the win in the Veterans Women division scoring 58.33, followed by Michie Jinno (JPN) closely behind in second with 40.00.</p>
<p>Haydon Bru (AUS) laid down a nose grab scarecrow and a KGB in the Jr. Men division, earning a huge score of 86.67 in heat one. Lachlan Ward (AUS) brought some stiff competition throwing a tantrum to fakie finishing second with 73.33 and advancing to Friday’s Finals. The talented Lachlan Swift (AUS) threw a stylish nose grab H/S 540 taking heat two with 70.00, followed by Francisco Morlet (MEX) in second with 36.67.</p>

<p>The always exciting Boys division charged behind the industry-leading Super Air Nautique G23 with its versatile wakes perfectly set for the talented field of international riders. Jamie Huser (SUI) took heat one and the top score of the day with 88.33 throwing a wrapped melon T/S B/S 360 and a tantrum to blind. Huser was followed by Cody Fuller (AUS) in second with 70.00. In heat two, the multi-talented Rito Shikai (JPN) threw a big moby dick and a batwing for the win scoring 70.00 on his way to tomorrow&#8217;s final showdown, along with Igor Colombo (ITA) placed second in heat two with 66.67.</p>
<p>“I was super stoked to ride today! I had a good stand up pass and felt like I rode well for me,” commented Boys Semifinal heat one winner Jamie Huser (SUI). “In Switzerland it is much cooler and the water is so cold, so the warm weather here in Japan feels really nice.”</p>
