<p><strong>VALDOSTA, GA (September 22, 2020) </strong>&#8211; The Valdosta Wake Compound proved to be a solid destination for the 2020 Nautique WWA Wake Park World Championships presented by Yanmar Marine, with riders in every division putting down style and progression on the park’s unique course. The final day of action showcased use of every feature to its full potential, as new World titles were claimed in some of the most epic final showdowns.  </p>



<p>The ladies opened up the final day in style with Mattie Armer locking in her 2020 World title in the Women’s Wakeskate division with a well put together run that earned her a 100.00 point score. Lisa Derue clinched the top spot in Amateur Women’s Traditional final keeping her composure throughout her entire run for a winning score of 97.00.&nbsp;Taking the Men’s Traditional win, Woody White threw a proper heel front off the flats for his winning score of 91.00. Johnathon Wilkes came up in second going super technical on all the rails scoring 90.00, just ahead of Coby Armer with 87.00.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>



<p>Travis Doran killed it in the Pro Wakeskate division, snagging the 2020 World title sealing the deal on his inventive run with a kickflip and multiple shuvs for 100.00 points. Travis Belsito hit a frontside big spin for a second place finish of 90.00, followed by Coco Mendez in third with a 80.00 point score.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The Boys Traditional division put up a good fight on the final day of competition with Isaic Claudio coming away with the 2020 World title. Isaic Claudio threw down with a blind judge off the flat water for a winning score of 98.00. Following in second, Gavin Doody gave it his all to earn a final score of 93.00, followed by Grant Adams in third with 78.00. Samuel Lacerte came away with the Jr. Men World title throwing a clean H/S cab 900 for a 94.00 point score. Hayden Chambless landed a massive late indy B/S 540 off the kicker to earn the second place spot with 93.00, followed by Charlie Pfahler who took third with a 84.00.&nbsp;</p>



<p>Showing off one of the most stylish and technical rail games in the Pro Women&#8217;s Traditional final, Anna Nikstad earned herself the 2020 World title landing a solid KGB off the kicker and a roll to revert in the flats for a final score of 96.00. Carro Djupso of Sweden put down a consistent performance throwing a krypt in the flats for a second place finish of 88.00, followed by Constanza Scaglia in third with 80.00.&nbsp;</p>



<p>Colby Zebarth took the Jr. Pro Men Traditional title with a T/S B/S 3 and crowmobe to complete the win with a 97.00 final score. Tyler Cole came in second with 87.00, followed closely by Labryn Depta with 83.00.&nbsp;In the Pro Men’s Traditional final, Guenther Oka utilized his diverse skill set to drop hammers in every part of the course earning his 98.00 point score and the 2020 World title with his switch 313 and massive nose grab pete 5 off the kicker. Trent Stuckey made it a close match throwing a huge ole’ T/S B/S 1080 on the kicker for a score of 87.00, followed by Brady Patry rounding out the podium with 82.00.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>In the Kids Features final, Ethan Bellamy excelled on all the rails to claim the 2020 World title and a 91.00 point score. Rounding out the podium, Cameron Flinkingshelt took second with 89.00, followed by Henry Paulk in third with 81.00. Coby Armer owned the top spot in the Men’s Features final going all-in on the kicker section with a grabbed H/S 720 to score 98.00. Jesse Foushee smashed the kickers, placing him in second with 84.00, followed by Woody White with a score of 82.00.&nbsp;</p>



<p>Rivers Hedrick won the Open Women Features division with an all-time performance and technical rail hits for a 94.00. Rounding out the podium, Lisa Derue took second with 89.00, followed by Mattie Armer third with 81.00.&nbsp;&nbsp;In the Jr. Pro Features final Gibson Corcoran came out on top absolutely destroying Valdosta’s pool section with technical hits to score 93.00. Labryn Depta put down clean lines throughout the park placing him in second with 84.00, followed by Chase Williams with a score of 83.00.</p>



<p>Securing the Pro Women Features World title Anna Nikstad stomped diverse and technical lines all over the park for her final score of 96.00.&nbsp;&nbsp;Hannah Mennega showed off her style in the camel rail section for a second place finish of 87.00, followed by Carro Djupso in third with 80.00.</p>

Guenther Oka rose to the top with an 89.00 point score locking in a textbook grabbed T/S B/S 9. Trent Stuckey executed clean lines in all of the rail sections taking second with 88.00, followed by brother Gavin Stuckey with 82.00.&nbsp;</p>

We appreciate everyone doing their part so events are able to operate and do not get shut down.<br><br><strong>Attention:</strong>&nbsp;In accordance with the guidelines set forth, we will be taking temperatures for&nbsp;all event participants upon arrival before a rider is able to check-in each day. If anyone has a temperature reading greater than&nbsp;<strong>100.4* F</strong>&nbsp;they will not be able to remain on the event site. We encourage all participants to take their temperature before arriving at the event.</u></strong></td></tr></tbody></table></figure>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong><u>Riders Meeting</u></strong><br>All of the format info is included above.&nbsp;The&nbsp;riders meeting will take place at 9:30am onsite on Sunday, September 20th. Monday and Tuesday mornings of the event the chief judge will do a&nbsp;brief&nbsp;riders meeting approximately 15-20 minutes before the&nbsp;competition is scheduled to start.</h3>



<p><strong><u>Awards</u></strong>Awards will be done throughout the day,&nbsp;approximately 1 hour after each division&#8217;s final results are posted &nbsp;in order to reduce gatherings.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Following rule&nbsp;<em>1.03 Protests,</em>&nbsp;in regard to any and all protests and/or inquiries about results, the rider and/or rider representative wishing to speak to the chief judge must be wearing a face mask and willing to keep the mask on throughout the entirety of the discussion.&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;<br>No verbal abuse or notions of hostility will be tolerated from both the rider and/or rider representative. Any failure to follow the above guidelines may result in immediate disqualification from the event and request to leave the event site for the duration of the event.&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;<br>Please read the full protest rule before any inquiry and/or protest.</h3>

<p>Overview</p>



<p>The WWA will adhere to and operate in compliance with all public health authorities and local and state government guidelines regarding social distancing pertinent to the location of the event being held. In adhering to compliant efforts onsite, event crowd numbers will not exceed the guidelines currently set forth. The WWA will provide masks to all event participants and advise that any event bystanders are wearing masks when electing to be in the vicinity of the event grounds and will be strictly advised to not congregate in large groups.</p>



<p>High risk individuals, including older adults and people with pre-existing medical conditions that appear to be more vulnerable to becoming severely ill with the virus are recommended to avoid&nbsp;events involving groups at this time and/or to take all recommended precautions to protect themselves.</p>



<p>Event Procedures</p>



<ul class="wp-block-list"><li>All WWA event staff will be required wear face masks throughout the duration of the event.</li><li>All participants will have their temperature taken at rider check-in each day that they ride.&nbsp;</li><li>The starting dock will be limited to ONE participant and the dock starter in order to avoid unnecessary congregations of people. There will also be ‘staging’ areas outside of the dock that only a limited number of riders will be allowed in. Riders 9 &amp; under may have one parent with a face covering accompany them on a dock.&nbsp;Participants should be aware of signage stating the number of individuals allowed in areas.</li><li>Participants will not be able to store their equipment in the start dock area and are advised to keep equipement with them or in their locked vehicle&nbsp;at all times.</li><li>Only event staff will be allowed in the judging areas.</li><li>All WWA staff and event security will monitor and enforce social distancing policies throughout the duration of the event.</li><li>All event surfaces and high-touch areas will be wiped down and disinfected approximately every thirty minutes as recommended by CDC guidelines.</li><li>Line distancing will be implemented in the registration and information area of the event in order to prevent grouping of participants.</li><li>In order to avoid extended face-to-face interaction between event participants and staff, participants must&nbsp;complete all necessary event and registration paperwork prior to arriving to the event site and attempting to check-in at the registration area.&nbsp;</li></ul>



<ul class="wp-block-list"><li>All event participants are&nbsp;advised to avoid person-to-person contact such as shaking hands.&nbsp;</li><li>All event participants will be advised to not congregate in large groups of people to socialize while at the event site.&nbsp;</li><li>All event related banquets will not be held in order to reduce gathering.&nbsp;</li></ul>



<p>Event Site</p>



<ul class="wp-block-list"><li>The event site layout will be planned out and constructed with social distancing standards in place.</li><li>Proper cleaning supplies will be available to all event participants, staff, and officials. Cleaning supplies are not limited to and may include hand-washing stations, hand sanitizer, tissues, and cleaning wipes.&nbsp;</li><li>Event whip flags and additional competition markers will be spaced out every twelve feet to provide visual distance cues for event participants.</li><li>All staff tents will have clear walls and barriers in order to prevent unnecessary contact.</li><li>Spectators and participants will not be allowed to congregate under WWA tents. Participants are encouraged to bring their own tents or umbrellas for shade.&nbsp;</li><li>There will be limited options for food and beverage available on site. Participants may bring coolers but there will be no alcoholic beverages allowed on site.</li></ul>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>CRYSTAL LAKE, IL (August 3, 2018)</strong>– As if the Quarry Cable Park can’t get any better, the riders turn it up another level at the 2018 Nautique WWA Wake Park National Championships presented by Rockstar Energy. Building off of the contagious energy from day one, the cable started spinning alongside anxious riders getting ready for the action on day two. Glass conditions, crowds lining the shoreline, and perfect temperatures made the Quarry the place to be.</p>
<p>The ladies kicked off the Open Women Features Only quarterfinal rounds with perfect, buttery conditions, taking the top two riders from each heat to the semifinals. Advancing to the semifinals were Piper Harris (OWC), Mattie Armer (Term), Lisa DeRue (Rose), Kyra Marks (Action), Kalie Thomas (OWC), Sofia Monroy (Mayan), Shannon Stuckey (OWC), and Amanda Sadowski (OWC).</p>
<p>The Jr. Men turned up the heat in the Jr. Men Features Only quarterfinals, with the top two riders from each heat earning their spots in Sunday’s semifinals. Taking the top spots in their heats and moving on to the semifinals, heat winners were Riley Hackworth (Revo), Maarten van Vilet (HYD), Jimmy Schmidt (Quarry), Brayden George (HYD), Gavin Giglio (OWC), and Garrett Coleman (OWC).</p>
<p>Taking lead from the Jr. Men, the Open Men Features Only division stepped it up with Kellan Rudnicki (OWC) winning quarterfinal heat one scoring 94.70 ahead of Kyle Payne (Rose) with 89.80 in second. Heat two went to Drew Glickman (Trophy) scoring 94.60 just ahead of Garrett Lund (OWC) with an 89.00. Tyler Gebben (Action) won heat three with a 91.90 point score followed by Theo Koester (OWC) in second with 90.70. Heat four was owned by Bruno Ulott (Mayan) in first with a perfect 100.00 point score, followed closely by Bobby Trammell (Shark) with an 86.80 in second. The Open Men Features semifinals will hit the water on Sunday.</p>

<p>The Boys Features Only showed just how fast the sport is progressing. The top two riders from the heats in round one cleaned house and went on to the quarterfinal rounds. In the Boy’s Division quarterfinal round the battle was on in heat one with Jadon Scures (Revo) coming away with the top spot for a 94.70 point score. The Heat two win went to Liam Brearley (Rose) with a final score of 95.50.  Gavin Stuckey (OWC) took it away for heat three with a score of 94.10 points. To round out the quarterfinals, Trent Stuckey (OWC) came away with heat four for 93.70 points.</p>
<p>In the Pro Men Features Only qualifying rounds, six riders advanced through to the quarterfinals. Bene Tremmel (GER) scored 92.40 to take the win in heat one and heat two went to Pedro Caldas (BRA) with a 92.30 point score. The top twelve riders of the quarterfinals will advance to the semifinals.</p>
<p>The Pro Traditional division kept the pace of the day with Traditional Wake Park qualifying rounds seeing four riders advance through to the quarterfinals, followed by the top four of each quarterfinal heat going on to the semifinals. In heat one of the quarterfinals, Tom Fooshee (TSR) landed in the top spot with an 85.00, followed by Jack Dorrestijn (TSR) in second with a 77.00. Heat two winner Busty Dunn (AUS) scored 95.50 with Andrew Watson (MWC) hot on his heels scoring 85.00. Guenther Oka (USA) crushed it in heat three taking the win with 98.00 points ahead of Brett Powell (Shark) taking second with 85.50.</p>
<p>Aaron Cutler (Revo) gave the crowd something to talk about in the Adaptive Standing semifinal, starting out his run with a massive wrapped H/S 360 off the kicker to earn a perfect score of 100.00 points.</p>

<p>The Intermediate Traditional semifinals saw the top two riders from each heat advance to the six man final. Riders advancing to the final include Andrew Hopkins (Quarry), Piper Harris (OWC), Barrett Swope (WNH), Corey Kalisik (Revo), Bruno Ulott (Mayan), and Dylan Hoogeboom (Action).</p>
<p>In the Advanced Traditional semifinal, heat one winner Liam Brearley (Rose) heads to the final scoring 94.00 for the heat win along with Fynn Bullock (Shark) placing second with 85.00 point score. Parker Swope (WNH) took the win in heat two with a score of 92.50 and Theo Koester (OWC) scored 84.00 in second. Joining them in the final from heat three, Dillion Riley (Rose) took the top spot with 89.00 ahead of Gavin Stuckey (OWC) taking second scoring 87.50.</p>

This event will host top amateurs from across the nation and pro riders from around the world competing for a national title and their chance to become the 2018 Nautique Wake Park National Champion. The third stop of the WWA Wake Park World Series (WPWS), wake parks from across the nation will bring their best competing for overall team and individual titles.</p>
