To kick off the 3-day competition, Operation Wake Surf will host a Salute to Service Day (S2S) on October 1, 2025. The S2S event will bring together military veterans, active military, first responders, and frontline workers for a well-deserved day of fun on the water.

Greenwood began his water sports career as a young rider in New England. He quickly fell in love with wakeboarding and began competing in local events. After graduating from college, he moved to Orlando and became a coach at The Wakeboard Camp. He also continued to compete at the pro level, winning the Alliance Rider of the Year in 2005.

In addition to his riding and coaching experience, Greenwood has also been involved in the media side of the water sports industry. He worked as Content Editor for WAKEBOARDING Magazine before moving to a sales role. He eventually became Publisher of both WAKEBOARDING and WATERSKI.

“I am excited to be joining the WWA team,” said Greenwood. “I have been a part of this industry for a long time, and I am passionate about helping it grow. I believe that the WWA is the perfect organization to lead the way, and I am looking forward to working with them to make a difference.”

Towed exclusively by the award-winning G23 for the 12th consecutive year, the 2025 Nautique Wake Series will kick off with the 64 th Moomba Masters International Invitational presented by GM Marine at the Moomba Festival in Melbourne, Australia on March 6-10th . The second stop of the series will be none other than 65 th Nautique Masters Waterski and Wakeboard Tournament® presented by GM Marine May 23-25th on the acclaimed waters of Robin Lake at Callaway Gardens. Riders will have the opportunity to earn a Masters invitation through the Nautique Masters Virtual Wakeboard LCQ hosted in the WWA Rideline app. Grand Junction, Colorado will play host to stop three of the 2025 Nautique Wakesurf Series on July 30th – August 3rd for the Nautique WWA Wakeboard National Championships proudly presented by GM Marine. The fourth and final stop will take the best riders in the world to the waters of West Palm Beach, Florida September 10-14th for the Nautique WWA Wakeboard World Championships, also presented by our great partners at GM Marine.

As the Director of Wake Park Operations, Dreiling will focus on event production aspects for the WWA’s wake park properties as well as focus on selling and developing new wake park events around the world. “In recent years, I’ve watched John get involved in all aspects of the sport to help where he can because he truly wants to see the sport grow and be the best that it can be” said WWA Executive Director, Corrie Wilson “John has helped with our Wake Park events over the past few years but I’m really excited to have him officially a part of the team as we continue to grow our Wake Park division around the world.”

Dreiling assumed the role January 1st of 2023 and has already played an integral role in updating and developing programs that are in line with the WWA’s mission to grow wakesports.  Named Alliance Rider of the year in 2021, he also represents Wakeparx, Sesitec, Unit Parktech, and more. John also gives back to the sport by coaching young riders and by hosting his own hosting his own boat contest, the Mini Wake Invitational.

Women Making Waves is Boating Industry’s effort to recognize the multitude of women in the industry who have made and continue to make great contributions to its success, propel its growth and lead their organizations and peers into the future.

Now in its fifth year and becoming a part of Boating Industry’s Top 100 Awards, the program is stronger than ever before. With over 120 well-qualified nominations for this year’s Women Making Waves, choosing this year’s honorees was no simple task.

There is such a large and continuously growing number women doing incredible work in our industry that the pages of the magazine simply don’t provide enough space to honor each and every one. However, the women recognized have given everything they have and more to the marine industry and have accomplished so much, with a pledge to continue pushing the industry forward.

Friday, riders were able to come out and ride behind the latest in the Malibu Boats lineup and demo the Hyperlite and Liquid Force equipment. Luca Kidd, Jeff Langley, Tarah Mikacich, Stacia Bank and Ashley Inloes of team Malibu Boats were all on site to hang out and share tips.

Saturday hosted the Malibu Boats WWA Regional Championships West and we couldn’t have asked for better conditions, as both seasoned and first-time competitors hit the water for a fun competition while securing their invite to the WWA Wakeboard National Championships.

The WWA has put in additional measures on Russian and Belarusian events and participation due to the current conflict in Ukraine.  The WWA stands with its Ukrainian brothers and sisters in wake with sanctions of its properties directly related to the country of Russia/ Belarusian.  These sanctions will remain in place until this conflict is ended.  At that time, the WWA will revisit these sanctions to determine if they should continue as a show of support for Ukraine.

1.  The WWA has already and will continue to remove the rights for Russia and Belarus to have the operational rights of WWA Russia/Belarus.  These sanctions will remain in place until this conflict is ended.  At that time the WWA will revisit these sanctions to determine if they should continue as a show of support for Ukraine.
2.  The WWA will not sanction any contest and/or events in any Russia/Belarus territory. These sanctions will remain in place until this conflict is ended.  At that time the WWA will revisit these sanctions to determine if they should continue as a show of support for Ukraine.
3. The WWA will allow Russia/Belarusian athletes to compete at WWA events of their choosing with the following rules that will apply pre, during and post-event. 
   1. The WWA will not allow any rider to openly represent Russia/Belarus as their country. 
      1. Riders can ride under another flag with passport proof of dual citizenship
      1. Riders may ride NOT under the Russia/Belarus flag on any official results or documents. (It is the rider’s responsibility to ensure that this is changed accordingly in the WWA Rideline app)
   1. The display of Russian/Belarusian national symbols, colors or flags are banned in public and on social media platforms.
   1. Russian/Belarusian flags, emblems, symbols, and words linked to the country are banned from display on uniforms, clothing, accessories, board, helmet, and other personal items.
   1. The singing or playing of the Russian/Belarusian national anthem at any event or area controlled by the WWA or local event organizer is prohibited
   1. Comments, actions or conduct that is prejudicial to the interests of the WWA, and in particular any support for the Russian invasion of Ukraine is banned.
   1. Athletes cannot promote Russia/Belarus in a positive reflection in regard in connection with WWA event they are participating.
4. Any violation of these rules will result in immediate disqualification of the event participated in as well as an immediate ban of participation at any additional WWA event through the following season.
5. The WWA has not ruled out taking more action against Russian and Belarusian riders
