If you’re going to Al Forsan International Sports Resort for the 2012 WWA Wake Park World Championships, then you will want to get in on some of the other sporting activities at the world-class facility. Al Forsan has put together a Grand Prix competition for riders, family, and fans at the World Championships that will be a fun and exciting way to bring people from all over the world together for a little off-the-water competition.
Karting, Paintball, and Archery/Shooting will be the three feature events over December 5-7, 2012 that will crown a different kind of champion than the Wake Park World Championships. Each night will feature a different event all strictly for fun. Event registration will be onsite at rider check-in. So make sure to bring your game face in not only wakeboarding or wakeskating, but karting, paintball, and archery/shooting.
Event Name: WWA Rider Sports Grand Prix
Event Description: Multi-sports competition event held during the WWA World Championships – It is proposed to create a fun multi-activity event that will challenge the riders and allow them to use the other sports during their stay. Prizes shall be offered for the top three point winners from all the events and depending on the products offered from the sponsors we may introduce other fun prizes as well.
Session Length: Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
Session Timings: 19:00 – 20:00
Wednesday 5th – Archery or Shooting:
As there will be some younger riders, not all will be able to shoot. To peak interest we should therefore offer the option of both archery and shooting using the same point system. Riders can choose to either shoot pistol or Bow.
9mm Shooting:
- 15 Practice shots at chosen distances of 10m and 15m
- 10 Competition Shots on New Target
- 5 shots at 10m
- 5 shots at 15m
- Total points 100
(Or) Archery:
- 30 minutes of Practice with unlimited arrows at 10m and 15m
- 10 Competition Shots
- 5 shots at 10m
- 5 shots at 15m
- Total points 100
Thursday 6th – Paintball:
Best of 3 Elimination
This will be an action packed tier based elimination where each player will receive a ranking and play games with other players of the same ranking. Each player will receive points based on performance in the final ranked games. Max 100 Min 20.

Prizes – Great prizes shall be provided from Slingshot, Liquid Force + Other sponsors that have stated they will support. Prizes shall be announced and given at the main WWA prize giving ceremony.
