Malibu Rider Experience Elevates Wakeboarders at Pontiac Lake July 19-21

Surf Gate Swells Roll in and Amateur Wakeboarders Earn Seeding for Nationals

From Waterford Township, MI (July 9, 2013) — Ever wanted to ride with top pro riders like Oli Derome and Tarah Mikacich? Well, next weekend at the Malibu WWA Rider Experience on Pontiac Lake you’ll get your shot! This fun-first event, hosted by Skier’s Pier will coincide with the areas hottest Hydroplane races, Quake on the Lake. All ages and all abilities, from kids riding wakeboards to grandparents going wakesurfing, will be able to enjoy an awesome time on the water with Malibu Boats.

Competitive riders can take a set on Friday, compete in the WWA East-Regional Championships and go wakesurfing on Sunday, all for $75. T-shirt, dock-tie, stickers and several other gifts are included in the entry fee. Seeding for the WWA National Championships will be based off of these regional events, so come out and prepare yourself for Nationals. Winners will receive a wakesurf rope and top seed to the WWA National Championships.

Non-competitive riders can still get involved by riding with the pros on Friday for just $25 and/or wakesurfing on Sunday at White Lake Inn. All ages all abilities are welcome to come out and shred!
