Because the National Points Chase has skill based divisions for the national championships we have created this scale for you to determine your national ranking as it will be used to determine the US National Team and seeding for World Events such as the WWA Wakepark World Championships.
This encourages riders to ride in higher divisions rather than sandbagging just to win at the lower levels. The WWA release on the wake parks to help get riders in the appropriate divisions. It is very beneficial for riders to ride against others that push them to learn new skills. We have seen riders that ride in tougher divisions learn at a much faster rate than those who do not need to even try to win on a weekly basis.
Keep in mind it is a long season and the competitors learn a plethora of new tricks throughout the season. Please plan ahead, if you are not sure what division you or your child should be competing in please ask a park manager.
First we must separate the riders by age and sex. Then we will compare ONLY riders in the same age/sex division to create national rankings.
