From Lake Alfred, FL (May 29, 2013) — Officially, the 2013 WWA Wake Park World Series season has begun; with stop 1 in the books, the WWA Wake Park World Rankings are up and out. Tom Fooshee (USA) started the season off right, again, by winning stop 1 of the WWA Wake Park Triple Crown. Even though Daniel Grant (THA) didn’t finish as high as anticipated, he actually narrowed the margin on Fooshee as the 2010 year (Grant’s Rookie year) dropped off of the rankings.

Several new riders also showed up on the Wake Park World Rankings for the 1st time, including the current highest ranked Wake Park rookie, Taylor Kress (USA), who finished tied for 7th place this past weekend, earning 60 points. Other notable moves made by riders at stop 1 of the WWA Wake Park World Series were Matty Hasler (AUS) jumping into the 3rd spot with his 2nd place finish and Chandler Powell (USA) moving into the top 15 with his 3rd place finish this past weekend at BSR Cable Park in Waco, TX.

The WWA Wake Park World Rankings are a cumulative ranking system designed to spotlight the absolute best contest Wake Park riders in the World. Each contest of the WWA Wake Park Triple Crown and WWA Wake Park World Series are added to the Wake Park World Rankings and cumulate over a 3 year period. Percentages of each year are broken down so that the current year holds 100% of the point value, the previous year holds 66% of the point value, and the 1st year listed on the rankings hold 33% of the point value.
