2017 NAUTIQUE MOOMBA MASTERS SET TO KICK OFF NAUTIQUE WAKE SERIES AND WWA WAKEBOARD WORLD SERIES

LAKE ALFRED, Fla. (November 15, 2016) – The World Wake Association (WWA), Nautique Boat Company, and the Victorian Water Ski Association (VWSA) are proud to announce the 2017 Nautique Moomba Masters as stop number one of the Nautique Wake Series and WWA Wakeboard World Series on March 8-13, 2017 in Melbourne, Australia behind 4X Wakeboard and 3X Wakesurf Boat of the Year, the Super Air Nautique G23.

The Nautique Moomba Masters is the most spectated watersports event in the world with over 400,000 fans watching an international field of wakeboarding’s star athletes compete on the legendary Yarra River. For the first time in history the Nautique Moomba Masters will officially become a part of the renowned WWA Wakeboard World Series in conjunction with the only series that puts riders first, the Nautique Wake Series.

“The Nautique Wake Series is an integral part of the WBWS and the WWA, and we are thrilled that the Victorian Water Ski Association and the Moomba Masters will showcase the best wakeboard athletes in the world, judged by the most professional team of officials. This world-class event provides wakeboard athletes the year’s largest spectator stage to demonstrate the progression of the sport behind the world’s best wakeboat,” stated Nautique President Greg Meloon.

The 2017 Nautique Moomba Masters will be towed exclusively behind the award-winning Super Air Nautique G23 providing the platform that continues to push the progression in everything wake. Joining the WWA Wakeboard World Series implements the international competitive gold standard taking this highly-esteemed event to the next level.

The Nautique Moomba Masters takes place each year as a part of the Moomba Festival on the Yarra River in downtown Melbourne, Australia. This internationally recognized event attracts the world’s elite watersports athletes to compete for the coveted Nautique Moomba Masters title.
