Panda Wake Games 2026 Announced: Global Wakeboarding and Wakesurfing Competition Returns to Chengdu

Following a record-breaking year of participation, the WWA and Chengdu Water Extreme Sports Culture Development Co., Ltd are proud to officially announce the return of the Panda Wake Games, scheduled for August 21–23, 2026. This premier international event will bring together the world’s top athletes with heavy focus on Asian athletes for a high-octane celebration of wake culture.

The main boat competitions will take place at the scenic Sancha Lake. In a strategic expansion for 2026, the event will now feature comprehensive cable wakeboarding disciplines, utilizing both traditional full-size 5.0 and specialized 2.0 cable systems. This addition of diverse competition formats promises to make the overall event exceptionally exciting and visually dynamic for both riders and spectators.

To maintain the highest quality of competition and athlete experience, registration for the 2026 games will be strictly limited. Athletes are encouraged to register early via the official Rideline platform to secure their spot in what is expected to be a sold-out event.

Bolstered by the official support and sponsorship of industry giant Nautique Boat Company, the Panda Wake Games 2026 aims to host over 100 participants, building on last year’s massive turnout.

The 2026 Games will feature a truly international roster, bringing together a curated field of the world’s top professional riders, outstanding young talent from Australia, the USA and the best competitors from across China, Hong Kong, and Japan. To guide fans through the action-packed weekend, the event will also welcome back the highly anticipated international host, Nami.

The prize purse for the 2026 games will remain at a highly competitive level of $20,000, distributed across the main disciplines, including Wakeboard, Wakesurf, and Cable Wakeboard.
