MALIBU BOATS WWA RIDER EXPERIENCE CENTRAL TO BE HELD IN CONJUNCTION WITH WAKE THE DESERT JULY 12th – 14th

Hosted by Family Powersports, the third stop of the 2019 Malibu WWA Rider Experience series will hit San Angelo, Texas July 12th – 14th. Amateur riders from across the U.S. are invited to come together for the world’s premier amateur development five-stop series for weekends focused on the next generation in wake through family-friendly instruction and competition. The Malibu Rider Experience Central will be held in conjunction with Wake the Desert, celebrating their 20th anniversary.

Kicking off with Freeride Friday, riders of all skill levels will receive an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the course and receive tips from Malibu’s Pro athletes on Lake Nasworthy. Participants will also have the opportunity to demo the latest Obrien Watersports and Ronix Wakeboards equipment while enjoying the amateur rounds of Wake the Desert. The fun will continue with the WWA Regional Championships and Pro Card Qualifiers on Saturday, providing amateur riders the chance to compete with riders in their region and qualify for the WWA Wakeboard National Championships, and aspiring pros the opportunity to earn professional status. Following the WWA Regional Championships, the outlaw and pro divisions of Wake the Desert will take to the water for the semifinal rounds

On Sunday, July 14th everyone is invited to head back to the lake one final time for Surf Gate Sunday and the final rounds of Wake the Desert. Attendees will be able to experience the infamous wave and surf technology of Malibu’s Wakesetter Series in a laid-back atmosphere with family and friends.
