|(August 7, 2017) – The World Wake Association (WWA) and Nautique Boat Company are set to deliver the pinnacle of wake sports competition to Toronto’s Canadian National Exhibition with the 2017 Nautique WWA Wakeboard World Championships presented by Rockstar Energy on August 24-27. The world’s elite wake athletes representing over 25 countries will compete for the world title behind 4X Wakeboard and 3X Wakesurf Boat of the Year, the Super Air Nautique G23. An event unrivaled in the wakesports arena, the 2017 Nautique WWA Wakeboard World Championships will serve as the fourth and final stop of the Nautique Wake Series; the only series that puts riders first. Overall Nautique Wake Series titles will be awarded in Pro Men, Pro Women, Pro Wakeskate, and Jr. Pro Men divisions with a payout of over $30,000 (USD) in addition to $60,000 (USD) in event prize money on the line.

The fifth stop of the WWA Wakeboard World Series (WBWS), the 2017 Nautique WWA Wakeboard World Championships will feature an international field of athletes representing all WWA amateur and professional Wakeboard and Wakeskate divisions. Each athlete honored with the opportunity to compete at this universally recognized elite event earned the right to represent their country through a series of qualifying WWA Regional and National Championship events.
Toronto’s CNE Waterfront provides the perfect world-class venue, putting wake center stage at the event which draws over 1.5 million visitors annually. In addition to the on-water action, spectators will enjoy over 192 acres of exhibits, live entertainment, agricultural displays, sporting events, rides, games, and more!
