WWA Enlists Next Level Sports Management for PR and Marketing Services
Orlando, Florida (February 24, 2015) – The World Wakeboard Association (WWA) announced today that it has enlisted the services of Next Level Sports Management, based in Capistrano Beach, California, for the public relations and marketing efforts of the Wakeboard World Series presented by Rockstar Energy (WBWS), the Nautique Wake Series, the Malibu Evolution Pro Series and the WWA as a whole. The first event of the 2015 season kicks off with the Nautique Wake Open at BSR Cable Park in Waco, Texas, on April 16-18.
Next Level Sports Management has become one of the most well respected agencies in the world of motorcycling and is immersed within the heart of the action sports world in Southern California. The company has been a longtime partner of the most globally recognized off-road motorcycle racing series – Monster Energy Supercross, Lucas Oil Pro Motocross and AMSOIL Arenacross – and plays an integral role in both the American International Motorcycle Expo (AIMExpo) and Kawasaki Racing. Next Level brings more than 40 years of public relations and marketing experience to the WWA and will take a lead role in local, national, and endemic media outreach and publicity, along with creative marketing strategies, advertising, and social media initiatives. Next Level’s influence and expertise will be felt through every facet of the WWA and its series.
“Next Level is the right agency to communicate the vision we see for the WWA moving forward,” said WWA President Shannon Starling. “When looking for an agency to showcase the growth and positioning of the WWA, we wanted a partner that understood the action sports landscape that is also able to work hand in hand with media outside of industry. Next Level’s diverse portfolio of clients shows they are able to succeed throughout action sports.”
Entering its 26th year, the WWA is the world leader in wake sports, with the WBWS serving as the only true global wakeboard series. The most elite wakeboard riders in the world partake in the World Series, and this season the WWA will further cement itself as the standard bearer in the sport by including women in the World Series for the first time. Additionally, the WWA is setting the bar in prize money for pro riders, further legitimizing the sport with the largest sum of prize money ever – a total of $425,000 for both men and women in the Wakeboard World Series. The WWA is also taking added steps to make wakeboarding more consumer friendly than ever by implementing a Star system, which will rank events for clarity amongst riders, spectators and global organizers.
“Working with the WWA as it continues to grow is something we are looking forward to,” said Next level Founder, Tony Gardea. “Seeing the plans that Shannon and his team have created shows us that the WWA is pushing hard to provide the best environment for partners, athletes and fans. There are some exciting things to come and we will be working closely with the WWA to grow its presence inside and outside of the industry.”
