Winter Haven, FL (August, 1 2021) – Wake Park riders from all across the nation descended upon Auburndale, FL for the country’s top amateur wakeboarders and wakeskaters to kick-off the 2021 Nautique WWA Wake Park National Championships presented by GM Marine. Located at one of Florida’s newest cable parks, Elite Cable Park provided the incredible venue for amateur and pro level athletes alike to together for the largest wakeboard event of the year.

Starting the event with the traditional discipline of cable wakeboarding, one rider at a time took to the waters of Elite Cable Park to showcase their best tricks for the judges and fans. The Beginner’s division started the day’s wakeboarding action with Lacy Carlton from Waco, Texas winning her heat of 4 riders, making her the only female to advance directly into the semifinals happening on Monday. Bryce Lyles from Orlando, FL stood out among the Novice riders as a clear favorite with his technical rail hits and a 360 off the kicker in his incredible opening run. Clinching his spot into the semifinals for the Intermediate division was Cooper Scarborough winning his qualifying heat with a score of 96.5 after his MJ Boardslide across the top of the transfer box (while wearing a gold glitter jacket in true “MJ style”).
