KC Watersports set to host stop #2 of the Monster Energy WWA Wake Park Triple Crown

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

July 8th, 2010

The U.S. Wake Park Open will play host to the second stop of the Monster Energy WWA Wake Park Triple Crown at KC Watersports on July 31st and August 1st. This event will mark the second stop of the Monster Energy Wake Park Triple Crown point race that launched in early June.

At the first stop, Tom Fooshee defended his home park at Texas Ski Ranch and landed on the top of the podium. Now we’ll see how he matches up with some of the other top riders in the sport at KC Watersports, as he defends his current spot as the leader of the Monster Energy Wake Park Triple Crown.

The format of the event will consist of one and a quarter laps around the cable, with riders getting a Monster Energy Trick at the end of their runs in the Finals. We’re sure to see some heavy hitters in the Obstacles Only division once again, as the timed jam format allows multiple riders to go out on the cable at once and go trick for trick on the rails and kickers.

If you’re coming out to watch the competition you don’t have to stay dry all day. The general public can actually go and ride all weekend long during the event. KC Watersports is offering a two-day event pass for $50 for the general public. During the day there will be designated time slots to demo different products from all of the event sponsors, and the cable opens right after the contest is over until 8pm. Come out and ride with all the top pros!

Registration for the second stop of the Triple Crown is now open. The entry fee is $75 for Open divisions, and $125 for Professional divisions. Please fill out the Triple Crown Stop #2 Registration Form and submit it to the WWA at EventOrganizer@thewwa.com

You will receive a confirmation email once you have registered. Please print this out and bring it with you to the event. All riders must be WWA members to compete.
